If no CoD orgs enter LCS again, I will be veeeeeery surprised. Are CoD orgs rich or what? Dont know anything about them.
I was rather thinking some bored millionaires might buy themselves a spot.

Calitrollz being referred to as "one of only the top laners in the league to be regarded as his team's star." makes my brain hurt.

I think Optic/nV are pretty big but it depends on do Nadeshot/Hastro wanna expand or not. But honestly, I just don't wanna more rich kids and instead, well-established names.

He and Impact are the only ones that qualify, honestly. Zion is outshone by Dlift easily.
NA next year's gonna be some funny shit.

You left out Gamsu and (arguably) Quas.
Cali was never the star of T8 anyway. Slooshi and Porpoise were always better players and in the second half of last split Nien was getting farm priority and playing hypercarries while Cali was playing tanks.

Martin Shkreli can't buy these teams and replace them with his own challenger Imagine, right?
|
He kinda can, although limited to up to 2 players.
Edit: See the last paragraph in section 3.2 Roster Requirements Current ruleset here

Well, that's pretty depressing to know. Hopefully the players of ex-T8 don't get screwed out of their LCS spot. I wouldn't mind if Envyus bought T8, to be honest. This whole business with Team Odyssey into Team Imagine has been shady AF, on top of that Imagine just dropped their entire roster and left the players out to dry. LCS could live without this shadiness.

I think the statement can be accurate insomuch as he could probably be considered the face of the team

Oh, I forgot about Gamsu because post-season and all.
Quas is heavily outshone by the botlane.
Cali was almost always the focus of T8 when they were good, and Nien never shone at all.

Quas became resident meanwhile. Idk, was he counted as non-exempt resident before or not, but still.

Weren't the rules changing after this year anyway? I always get confused with Riot's ass backward rulings

Honestly, I have no idea. At first, I thought that every non-American will be able to proclaim himself as "resident" for this season. Then someone said that it's only for non-exempts, so guys like Impact, Rush, Ninja or Emperor, even if they stay, are going to be counted as foreigners.
But it's just solid for Quas, so worth of posting here, imo.

Completely agree, just didn't think it mattered because I also thought every non-American could become a resident

Everyone who was a foreigner before the residency rules were introduced had to choose whether he will count as American or wherever he came from. There is no exempt thing anymore, either you're foreign or not.

I watched quite a bit of Sneakyz streaming from Korea over the last couple of weeks and I really think that some of the guys need to work on their mindset. There were so many times when he got ganked, outplayed or just killed and he just said sth like "oh my fuuuucking god" and laughed. I can't imagine anyone getting to the absolute top with that kind of attitude. Sometimes he duoq'ed with a teammate and basically of them or at least all of them that I have seen show the same kind of attitude.

Their streams are usually at the end of their day of training. You can see this by the 10+ hour warnings when they start. They're usually just having fun, cooling off and interacting with/entertaining their fans. I wouldn't read into it too much.
