Average laners, jungle plays a lot of scaling champions like Nocturne while using him to tp in darkness, toplane throws a lot of random stuff with different level of success.
CaliTrolz is going to be too flashy for his own bad, at some point it always bites you in ass, even if you're Faker.
Gravity is way stronger, T8 never played them when they had Cop and Keane, Coast is slightly stronger after Impaler addition, that's why T8 is safe call for last place and pulling up second Velocity.

You've perennially underestimated Team 8 (I believe you said they wouldn't even make NACS playoffs at one point, you also expected them lose to CoL I believe) and I think you're doing it again. Gravity made upgrades, yes, but they were so irrelevant before - 2-7 record versus Team 8, 1-3 with Keane and 1-6 versus Coast - that I'm not sure those upgrades catapult Gravity into being a mid tier team.
Cop and Hauntzer are not huge upgrades. I mean, here is the last game your toplane upgrade Hauntzer player against Calitrolz, finishes 1/5/0 to Calitrlolz 9/1/2, getting solokilled twice.

Dunno, they were obvious choice for NACS playoffs, i was expecting coL to win though, CaliTrolz to retire after it and T8 failing in Expansions though, that's right.
I don't see a single strong point for T8 to easily say - they're going to win here, here and here. Especially, after their botlane showed nothing impressive at IEM, even if they weren't playing in particularly strong team to say the least.
Keane improved a lot, Cop is basically worse San in NA and he's waaaay better than Impactful and whole CA/Gravity team is looking well-suited to be playoffs level this season. If T8 can surpass my expectations, good job, right now however, I don't expect them anywhere higher than 9th.

The Top 4 Teams, really unsure of the order. My heart tells me: Probably TiP, C9, TSM, TL... #foreverfourth... but my head tells me something different
Team Impact - XWX was the best midlaner in NA last year, hands down. His CS, split pushing, etc is very, very good in the regular season. With a Korean toplaner, formerly from SKT, in Impact, they will be carrying from 2 spots. I am not as down on their botlane as others are. Apollo has potential, and really will be able to get a lot of cleanup kills in teamfights the exact same way Vasilli was last year. Vasilli wasn't very good at carry, he just had to not die. I know nothing of their jungler, but it's irrelevant when Top is even-ahead and mid has snowballed. Team Liquid - their botlane, and I hear Quas is potentially the best Top in the Western Scene. Piglet + Xpecial are going to win every single matchup they play, if they don't get camped by the enemy jungler. Let's be serious here. Another SKT guy in the Foreign scene... another top 2 team in NA. Period. People can hate on me for this opinion, but it's fact. Will be interesting to see Piglet and Impact hugging after TiP and TL play. How will that interaction be? TL have a lot of proven, steady talent, with their only "question" being their best player. Once the matches start in a week, Piglet will calm down about where he is, and go to work. They have potentially the best Top in NA, easily top 3 with Balls/Dyrus (as of last split), and while you can put that as #2 due to Impact, and push the other 2 to 3 or 4, it's a lane that isn't going to get snowballed. He will make solid plays, and have a good chance of winning/carrying top. Quas has a ton of upside. Dominate is a top tier Jungler. I'd say he was Top 2 if I didn't know where to rank someone else. You've got to tip your hat to Meteos until we can see him on the new jungle, but I really respect Dominate's ability to gank during the laning phase, and he's not a terrible teamfighter either. I view the western jungle as being very subpar, so while I'm not too hot on him, he's a polished turd, at least. Cloud 9 - I feel like the changes this patch versus Hai's weak champion pull, Lemon's old age (relative to the scene), and my questioning how Meteos will do in this meta... could have them dropping to the perennial Curse position of 4th. Could be 1st, could be 4th. We'll see. Their game versus TSM next week will really show who will be at a risk of being 4th-5th (winterfox could edge out TSM for instance) Team Solomid - TSM gonna TSM in the first quarter of the season. Will pick up the pace towards the end of the year to potentially be 3rd, but it's gonna be tough versus the talent on the other teams. Will probably still end the year 4th with ~12 wins. I'm not as hot on Santorin as Dyrus is, but I'm not as cold on him as you guys; he's still a european jungler.
[big gap] Winterfox - Could easily be 4th, with TSM 5th, per se. I don't see C9 being out of the top 4 as easily as I do TSM. It's the opposite of C9 for me. Are they mature enough, with enough synergy, to show what they could do? Feels like the answer is no, and I question whether they will ever be top tier. They put together a nice run towards the end of last split, but losing some of their experienced members should temporarily hurt their play. I don't see Pobelter being able to carry, so it will fully depend on whether Altec can get doubledigit kills. I doubt he will be able to do that in most of the games.
Upon reanalyzing them, I'm comfortable with where I placed them, due to: The Shins (helios and Avalon) + Gleeb/Altec in botlane + Is that Pobelter? at mid... really could easily break into the top tier easier... they have the most potential of any team in the league.
Coast - Have a European mid and Jungler. Impaler can carry games, Mash can carry games, Jesiz won't lose the game... If Sheep gets Thresh in any single game, they will likely win, even vs C9/TiP/TL. His Thresh is that good in my eyes. His Thresh = easy kills for Mash + Impaler is going to get his. If their toplaner can shake his soloqueue mentality... they could potentially be as high as 5th.
CLG - Rush hour should do well with Aphromoo's growth. That will be a solid point for them. Zion will occasionally carry a game. Link is a huge problem, which is why they're not in the top 5. I just don't see them going anywhere but down. They haven't made enough roster moves... Their only hope is Scarra as a coach, but I question whether Hotshot had other reasons for hiring him (him wanting to get better as a midlaner himself)
Gravity - I trust Hauntzer will potentially be one of the best Tops in NA but I don't know if him / Keane will be able to carry from the solo lane positions. It will be funny to see Hecarim bans, but they will definitely come through against Keane. I don't trust in Hauntzer's Lissandra play, unless Keane is on an AD mid, with Saint throwing in Karthus jungle or whatnot. If they stick to AP top AP Jungle AD mid they could be 6th above CLG, but I'm not banking on them, personally.
[bigger gap] Team 8 - This is a team that will have to cheese to win, so they might take a game or two off of TSM, but other than that... lol
Dignitas - No faith in them, especially with Kiwikid going 0-6 due to early roaming.

No, he really wasn't. Bjergsen was comfortably the best Midlaner in NA last year. XWX looked really good in the first half of Summer, fell off marginally in the second half and playoffs, then got outclassed at worlds.
Might be a comedy routine from Bill Murray though. Scarra being hired to make Hotshot a better midlaner is a bit of a tell.

I think they will outplay Coast, but Gravity is hard to call. My heart wants to say they will get top 7, but skill-wise its really hard to say. Trying to predict based on IEM is silly, as maple and dodo were playing on a foreign team with absolutely no prior practice with that team, there communication issues (spanish to english), and they were generally just there to have fun. Based on T8's performance against CA and Coast in the past, they will outplay both. But with replacements on those rosters its hard to call, since none of us have been watching scrims since the off season started.
T8 strength is definitely in team fights. Cali and Dodo's shot calling are very much geared toward a team fight style. Also they have relatively strong lanes. Every lane has the potential to carry. Slooshi is a great mid despite his lack of recognition. He is one of the most consistent players on the roster (arguably more consistent than cali). Dodo/Maple are often considered the weakest lane on the team, but Dodo is a great support and also underestimated, while Maple brings with him plenty of competitive experience. But hands down its team fights where they have prevailed in the past. They certainly aren't a turtle team, and typically go for very aggressive objective control and forced team fights. They also often do off-meta pics with Calitrlolz, which gives them a bit of additional unpredictability. Calitrlolz has arguably the most diverse champ pool out of all the top laners in NA LCS.
Id say T8 1, Gravity 2, and Coast 3. Just based on games I've watched and their record against each other in the past (roster swaps aside). Lets not forget that if this was still an 8 team LCS, Coast and Gravity wouldn't be in the LCS (as T8 made it in first). However, I could be off. With the recent patch making the jungle more relevant, it will make the lanes more prone to ganks, which could diffuse T8's reliance on mid or top carrying. But that could go either way, again since we haven't seen scrims...

Alright here's what I think.
1 - C9 2 - TL 3 - TSM 4 - WTF 5 - TIP 6 - CLG 7 - GRV 8 - T8 (lol) 9 - CST 10 - DIG

I think it's funny that Kut is already trying to predict the summer split...
1. C9 The most cohesive team and certainly the favorite, they are also great at adapting in-game to react to different strategies. 2. TSM I don't believe that IEM was a true representation of where TSM are as a team, people are very quick to forget that this team was the only team to take a game of Samsung White at worlds, and probably would've gone to the finals if they beat SK in groups. 3. TL The top 3 are pretty clear at the beginning of the season but the major thing that is holding Liquid back is the complete question mark of Fenix in midlane. He has only played top competitively and was never spectacular/ looked like he had potential. 4. TiP Impulses solo lanes are world class, and Rush has many of the same characteristics that Faker did at the start of his career (not claiming Rush is next Faker, but you get the point). In addition, I do not think that Impulses botlane is that bad. Adrian and Wizfujjin have shown they can lane against anybody with no pressure in solo-que, they just need to translate into their game. 5. CLG Everything about CLG is certain except Xmithie. We know Zion will carry on carry champs, we know Rush Hour will be a threat to everyone, and we know that Link will under perform and cost CLG heavily during playoffs. 6. GRV Everything about Gravity is very solid, and the fact that they are all really good friends adds to this. However, there is simply not enough play making on the team to lead a good challenge for anything into playoffs. 7. WFX Expect to hear cries of "nepotism" coming from reddit halfway through the season when it is proven that Helios's brother is the worst toplaner in NALCS. WFX had all the options in Korea to choose from and they took a Diamond 5 toplaner who has tried, unsuccessfully, for the last two years to play professional league. 8. T8 Slooshie and CaliTrollz are both quality sololaners but I think that talent falls short after that. They may become the Zion/Shiphtur 2v5 v2. 9. CST T8 was always favored against CST in the challenger series, and I don't see players like Mash and Cris ever getting out of the bottom tier teams. 10. Dig I said earlier that TSM's performance at IEM didn't mean much, and perhaps I'm being hypocritical by judging Dig so harshly but they looked like a lost challenger team. Almost losing to a team from Turkey is laughable, and getting crushed that bad by Gambit is not a good sign for the future. I would also like to commend Shiphturs ability to make himself look good at the expense of every team that he plays on (A+).

You've pretty much covered everything I was going to say, they're definitely not to be underestimated. I personally would put them as a definite above Coast, maybe above Gravity and Dignitas (maybe Impulse depending on how that goes), and even a possibility of contending with CLG if CLG continues to crack and T8 have taken the time to improve in the offseason.

I don't think it's keeping in proper etiquette to laugh at someone for their predictions, because predictions are just someone's opinion of what is to come. Sure, you can tell him why you think CLG won't be first or why Team 8 won't be third, but just laughing at someone for an opinion they hold is very rude IMO.

Going off memory here but XWX was dumpstered by Peke and was invisible vs Cool in his last 2 matches when it was all on the line. Cool and Peke took some time to warm up but by the end of groups they had his number. I'll have to rewatch the SSB matches, but based off the stats he went ok as everything around him went to shit. He had the shittiest team in that group by far so maybe outclassed was a bit harsh, but he was the weakest mid in that group and was inconsistent at best.
Definitely not saying the guy is trash, but he wasn't the best mid in NA last year.

However, I can laugh at him for predicting the summer split before we have even seen a single game of the spring split. He's being bold, I like it, but he is also just making bad predictions and I feel like it's well within our rights to laugh at him for that.

Point taken for Summer, but I believe that Spring Split might be the one where NA "goes full EU" (all bets are off) as a result of all the roster changes and new teams. Of course predicting Summer is silly, but I don't think someone can genuinely make a "bad" Spring prediction unless they're trying.

You're right; I was extremely tired and didn't realize what I was typing. A better description of my predictions would be mid season and end season standings.
I expect Cloud9 and Liquid to be the strongest teams out the gate, with the most consistent play.
I also expect Team8 and Gravity to upset a couple of the "big" teams, because they have confidence and have proven to be strong (comparable to Cloud9 in 2013).
I feel like Impulse and TSM won't be very strong in the beginning, but will start picking up games after a couple weeks, and prove to be a top team by the end of the split.
CLG could honestly be placed anywhere, but I have faith in them, and this is the first time they have a roster with players that are comfortable with their role, so I think they will be able to work on teamwork and strategy a lot more, without certain players spending all their time learning the role. Also, this may very well be Doublelift and Aphromoo's last year, so they will have a lot of determination, as well as the rest of the team and organization.
I don't know much about Winterfox, Dignitas, Coast, and expect them to be bottom of the league, though I want to be wrong about Winterfox, in particular. Perhaps swap their places with Gravity in my predictions.
