It has nothing to do with prefacing everything with "I think" or "It is my opinion that". It is just pleasurable to call out people who think they know everything and write authoritative-sounding posts that are in reality paradigms of the Dunning Kruger effect. | ||

I mean, that would be cool if people making that argument were not basing their argument on an appeal to authority...when that authority is one that messes up quite often when it makes changes that Bronzodia couldn't figure out. On top of that, at least in this thread, they are attacking people who are making reasonable inferences based on past balance issues. Plus, they are being told, essentially, to "Shut Up" by people who actually have nothing to contribute other than "well we should wait and see." Which by the way, is not a position, or an opinion. I mean, I basically instantly know whether or not a concept is worth investigating or whether it's total garbage when I read it. No big deal. But then again, I think the capacity to understand what's worth looking at and what's bad is the same capacity you need to simply be good at this game in the first place. I feel for all the baddies out there, but the only way to get better is to figure shit out yourself. Don't just listen to every post you come across, apply some discernment. | ||

It's nothing of the sort.It's more like waiting until a few years have passed to decide whether or not a new government policy had a negative or positive impact on X (X being whatever the policy was trying to accomplish). When policies, (much like balance changes,) are announced. You'll have those on each side spouting doom and gloom about policy, while others herald it when the reality is that whatever has been put into action is at best an educated guess at what is best to achieve its goals, and you won't know for sure until it plays out. | ||
