Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

I wouldn't consider it a good thing for casters to sound like Ayesee. The only upside is that he has a good radio voice and even then, it's not Wave tier. Ayesee is getting a lot better. and putting him with a ex pro co caster is really great. you get the good play by play and unlike a lot of commentators he knows to shut up and ask the people who know more for their analysis.

I actually think Riv has the best voice for play by play casting of all the LCS casters, probably across all English speaking casters actually.
|
Agreed, Riv has a really nice voice and is very articulate. The trick is to listen to him without paying attention to the actual words he's saying.

If Kobe just did the damn live-play casting and Jatt did the analysis you would have the strongest casting team NA
I think they have it in a good spot right now but damn, Riot, you have the power, COMBINE THE TWO!
I'm biased though, I really like Jatt and Kobe's analysis and that's what I'm primarily seeking from casters. I can see why Riv is popular though, he does make it exciting if you don't have an extremely strong grasp of the game because he can call out what abilities are going off and which targets are being "hit up" in the fights pretty well.

I love Kobe, but his play by play would be just wild "OHHHHHHHH"s over and over.

I think Riv's ability to call the play-by-play during teamfights is actually one of the strongest in League Casting.
I just he'd shut up the rest of the time.

This is not just an esports debate, fans always prefer high quality casters (who usually say less), but casual viewers test better with loud, excited, casters, so those are hired, because fans watch regardless.

DoA and Phreak would be the ultimate duo of casting.

does anyone ever realize that they don't actually have fun playing this anymore, and that they're just grinding elo and going nowhere

Taking a month off from League was one of the best decisions I made. I'm way more relaxed about the game now and it feels much more satisfying to play.

honestly i think i'm only playing as a time sink out of habit, i seriously dont enjoy it other than i can do it with my friends across the country

I found that after I came back and stopped treating it like a habit I shot from plat 5 to diamond 5 in like a month and rekindled my passion for normals with total scrubs

So apparently LMQ started scrimming in all english. What do you think their team comms are like?
Then again, they probably only need to know one word in English. "go!"
|
How many of you guys play the majority of your games on your own as opposed to with friends? I'll play an occasional ARAM or normal with friends, but since I'm mostly interested in ranked and nobody I know is higher than gold 5, I play like 95% of my games solo.

Ranked is like 98% solo queue for me, but ARAMs and normals are 100% with real and/or online friends. After you get to a certain point in ranked it's hard to find a real life duo partner. But if you're at that level, just get a smurf account at whatever level they're at and have a blast with it.

Jungling with homeguard TP looks like fun. I feel like I've tried this and had it not work but with the new 200s cooldown how can it not? :D
Candidates: Shen (smite tp), Warwick (flash tp), trundle (flash tp), and tryn (smite tp).
|
Jungling without smite sounds like about as much fun as jungling Shen. Also, it's only 200 seconds if you TP to a tower, which doesn't really make sense for ganks.
