So do I, because they help us quantify intuitions, such as reset champions being pretty good at getting multikills. However, they're not really useful in the predictive sense, because we're using them in places where we already know the result. In the edge cases, we have this gem from Kuomintang, which is something I strongly agree with (as much as I would hate to agree with Gouminpong).

if you wanted to though couldn't you just brute force the issue through sheer sample size and only compare the same repeated team compositions on both sides, the only changing variable being a single champion on the opposing team?

It's still decently closely related. I'm not saying it's 100% or so, but it helps.

Riot lyte told me i have good normal mmr but what's your aram mmr? What actually happens if you win a ton of arams. Do you just start hitting "aram mains" who only have good champions or what?

Played against ARAM specific accounts where the only champs they own are poke champs (lux, ziggs, nidalee) and supports lol

You run into Rhux and OneBadBrad when you're on a team consisting of you and a bunch of silvers.
And they get Leblanc. And you almost win, but someone decides its a good idea to run into a Leblanc and 4 others 1v5. And then they steam roll you.
And then you have nightmares about the Leblanc lurking in the bushes 6 months later.

A guy with Silver level strategy and mechanics isn't going to win versus a Diamond (or even a Plat) even if he has free first blood and the hardest counterpick possible. Same thing still applies in ARAM.

So I just played a game where a pretty farmed/fed support Donger 1v1'd a fed top Riven.
I don't even.

Well, first time I've seen him since his rework. Didn't know he was that strong.
|
He's always been strong when you try to fight his nest, it's just that now his E is actually usable and committing is harsher because of the beams (harder to sidestep while fighitng, plus you're in range since you dive him) and his missiles are better single-target if you can hit most of them.

Eh, ARAM can get pretty bad with team comps at times but yeah, dont think silvers would be able to do much with it vs diamonds
And seriously, this thread <3 bunch of bitching girls you all are :D

Does anyone play Chogath anymore? What's the main thing that made him become so unpopular?

You know the same thinking that made heavy skillshot champions fall out of favor for a while because "They do nothing if you miss."

Also, in what lane would you even play Cho? I guess middle, he's pretty slow in jungle and his earlygame is pretty pathetic compared to the strongest junglers atm
