The only recent things that could be considered extremely strong in a vacuum were Relic and remade HoG-free Locket, both of which just had obscene power when you did the math, and even that is a poor example because gold-efficiency is relative to all the other items. | ||

Kit does have a lot to do with it though. Didn't Ahri (and fizz) become popular as the best responses to twisted fate? When he fell out of favour, people realised they were pretty darn good against other champs as well. The reason they were picked was their kits. Could be wrong on that timeline though. | ||

MUNDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO People tried to build shit with AS to improve The Culling instead of noticing Lucian's passive, Q scaling, and generally low cooldowns (synergy with passive), so they built stuff like BotRK over even BT. That's like building BotRK first on Graves or Caitlyn, it doesn't make much sense. Ahri, well... she wasn't buffed in any way before she started killing people with DFG-R-W-R-R-ignite in the midgame, and Riot decided to require her to hit skillshots to do damage (which I find pretty reasonable). Fizz works better against assassins than hyper safe mid picks or afk farmers because he gets to fight them like he wants, partly. Also more swaps and more dynamic laning phase helps him since he doesn't need nearly as much gold as a bunch of other mid laners so having the roaming/fighting stage start earlier and the champs generally have less gold makes it so even without much farm he's still not that behind, and every kill makes him snowball that much more, relatively speaking. A bit like Kassadin, 'cept Fizz isn't exactly as strong and enters his "zone" earlier. Wow, I know proportions and all, but isn't Sivir's left arm far too thin? ._. Singed's splash is totally in the mood, though. And Lulu has a "find the odd one" contest with the poros. | ||

I'm silver 4 so it'll be alittle hard though I feel I'm better than that.. Realistically probably somewhere in gold atm! Quickly learning tho | ||
