This does sound like a strat to achieve nearly 100% winrate.
I find that on all Non-Nunu/Udyr Junglers 21 Utility makes me too untanky.

I'm getting really bad flashbacks of bad junglers "ganking" by running straight to my creeps top repeatedly, stealing like 3 waves, then wondering why I'm pissed when I fall like an entire defensive item behind and the enemy jungler comes up and kills me because my lane is super pushed 24/7 thanks to the "ganks."

I realize no one might care but there was some minor drama on twitter going on. SirScoots, and later TotalBiscuit, discredited Riot's numbers of 8.2 million concurrent viewers for the Season 3 finals.
Initial skepticism. I will say that I would like to know how they got their numbers. Not because I don't believe Riot but because I think it'll be interesting to see. Especially since, from my understanding, a lot of those peak viewers came from Chinese and Korean television and not streaming platforms. Granted I feel like, at least in TotalBiscuit's case, part of the criticism is due to how much World Final's numbers exceed TI3's numbers but I think it's fine to ask Riot to show their numbers. 8.2 million peak viewers seems pretty nuts though.
Then again I've seen multiple people (namely Slasher) point out that no one questions Blizzard or Valve's numbers...

Totalbiscuit @eneKeyHunt @MrAdamAp @Slasher @SirScoots 8.2mil conc is such an order of magnitude larger than anything else on record.
Well he also doesn't know what order of magnitude is either. So...
I don't get it. We see record numbers posted for dota and sc2. No complaints. See LoL numbers, better bring pitchforks

Reminds me of when league started rising I saw people in SC2 section of TL seriously suggest that riot was fixing the numbers of twitch streams by embedding it into the client.

People always question the big guy, since, why not?
I'ts nice if Riot release the number, but if not, I still have no doubt that LoL finals have way more viewers than others. Vietnamese stream alone had like almost 10k viewers constantly, and GarenaTV has at least 30k constantly.

8.2 million is pretty crazy though. I'm fairly skeptical of that number as well and wouldn't mind seeing how they came to it. I don't mind the skepticism but I think it isn't unreasonable that League could pull viewers like that. No game has ever had a scene like this.
Random arm chair guessing that has no relevance to anything. I believe that 5-6 million sounds a lot more believable but if their estimation allowed something like 8.2 million I don't really blame them for going with the bigger number.

This shit isn't calculus.

Right now turtle alone has twice the viewers of all of SC2. One pro casually streaming soloq has 25k viewers. I've no idea why anyone would find the idea of 8m during a major event strange.

wei don't you have a stream?
stream it. or TL IH.

It probably seems unreal because 8.2 million is a shit ton of people. To put it into perspective, only 10.3 million watched the Breaking Bad finale.
TI3 hit 1 million concurrent and as it says in the article, worlds 2012 was 1.1 million. 8x growth in a year is... staggering. 32 million unique viewers is approaching (if not passing) NFL sunday numbers.

I already presented that as an opportunity. I don't think he's interested, which is fine, it puts him next to PX in levels of innovation without any follow up.

Which is really not that high lol, considering how unlike NFL, a few other CONTINENTS with more people are also interested in the game.

Like NFL, who the hell watches American football outside of the States? NBA Finals, ok maybe there's more of an international viewership but the American sports leagues are so incredibly insular.

What would be the direct comparison then? World Cup?

Alot of it comes down to TV viewership in China and Korea, I would think, given the schedule of the Finals was tailored to them in addition to being a Chinese Vs. Korean team as the final. would not be surprised if western platform viewership broke down to like barely 1.5million concurrent against 7 million in Korea/China combined. A breakdown would be nice, but the TB/Scoots skepticism is hilarious given the aforementioned lack of analysis for other numbers given.
Haters gonna hate.

To be fair, Breaking Bad is cable and protected behind a paywall, which normally gimps the amount of viewership you're likely to gain (in exchange for significant HBO sustainability, but still the point remains).

While true, it wasn't exactly an optimal time to watch in those other continents (was it? It was on during prime time american time zones right, since it was in staples center?). Last year, Riot claimed 32 million active players/month. 8 million of which tuned in at some point to watch some of the finals. Unless the game somehow became a super spectator sport (I think LoL is incredibly spectator unfriendly to those that dont play, personally) that would mean there are at least 128 million active players/month to get a similar ratio of watching/playing.
I find the numbers a bit high to believe myself, for a game at a non-ideal time.

The Worlds numbers seemed high, but I don't have the slightest bit of experience in calculating Korean or Chinese TV/stream numbers so I assume RIOT isn't lying, because, frankly, it would be idiotic to.

When something is hugely successful in eSports, those that try to promote it get sceptical and untrusting. Oh how I love this industry.

Breaking Bad was secretly unpopular.
NCIS gets like triple that on a Tuesday.
