Big announcement was only because Curse had to submit a lineup for the salt league that started last week. afaik, everyone on Curse is still on trial, it was never explicitly stated that rosters are final (until now, because Riot said so).

Alright. Letting people go because they didn't perform to the standards (whatever they are) on trial is fine, that's life in professional sports.
It's just that a lot of people were under the assumption that this was a permanent roster change.

Pls. Cop is god.

It was just a website with 2 different teams with the current line up.

Man, I can't even express how hard ggLA got carried by Quas. This is such a ridiculous blow to them right when they're trying to qualify for LCS. Can't believe Quas jumped ship to such an inferior team like that. I hope Crs gets dunked. #1voyboyhaterNA

GG LA did flew him over to LA from Venezuela and they had a gaming house? So maybe curse bought him over because GG LA did a pretty huge investment in Quas.
HBO was even at the GGLA house: .

Kinda salty they waited until so late. Isn't it impossible for Aphro to play competitively now since rosters are locked? And only leaving GGLA 24 hours to find a replacement.
Kinda tinfoil hatty, but I really don't like the timing for all this from Curse.

Lately though, I've been having a few more issues in lane. I usually stomp any and all melee opponents in lane with shyvana but more often I find myself going even which is not desirable as I don't bring too much to teamfights except for a nice hard initiate.
I'm looking to master a new champ in top lane. I've tried Vladimir for about a dozen games in normals to mediocre success. I don't hate him but I feel too squishy in teamfights specifically and I'm not that great at using the pool at the optimal time I feel like. I've also tried Irelia for about 4-5 games without too much success. I do very poorly early game because I frequently get harassed to death or if not, I get ganked with no escapes. I like her if the game goes on however.
I'm thinking I prefer a very tanky champ that does solid in lane, but can still be a threat in teamfights. I like Shyvana so much because she is a lane bully and is ungankable. There is no frills about her, she just dives in and kills people and is difficult to take down. I bought Renekton recently and think he might be a champ that fits my playstyle but I was wondering if anyone can recommend another champ for me to try out who is not hugely vulnerable in lane and plays like a tank. I main Shyvana in the Jungle, so my advice may not totally be suited to the top lane. But I feel like Phoenix Stance Udyr plays very similar to Shyvana. They are both fast tanky melee champions who depend on autoattacks. And they both have strong single target DPS in the early game which later evolves into strong AE DPS in the late game. They share the same weaknesses too, mainly being weak to CC and also being very dependent upon their teammates for CC.

i think that once people get used to her she will be pretty bad in yolo queue but workable in proper play. her complete lack of mobility means that if you cant trust your team and support ganks are practically impossible to escape. but on the flipside if you do get a good start on her her damage in monstrous.

Disagree, she has a slow with ridiculous range and a snare she can just pop at her feet, plenty to work with in terms of escape imo.

Do quas jumped ship as soon as he could. Get that curse is big money but his team looks better Tbh so if he waited a bit he could prob jump for higher.

So, now that rosters are locked, has Riot released them?
|
Oh wait curse is plundering any potential for them to be relegated by ruining teams just before roster lock. Man used to like curse ;(

Seconded.
Fucking Curse man. For such a big and established organization, they really fucked up the PR. I also think they should have kept pobelter and aphro, but I'm not Liquid so I'll leave that to him.
But for real. how easy would it have been to mention everyone is on trial? Seems like the players didn't even know.

God I hope curse get relegated after this... way to screw with the entire NA scene boys.

to my knowledge, it was nwe, quas' previous team, that got him into california, not ggLA he was acquired by ggLA when nwe disbanded it is possible that the move was originally funded by ggLA though.
also HBO was following around an LCS team which i will not name at worlds. it's possible that some members of this team were at the ggLA house and that's why the HBO crew was. again, i don't have any knowledge on that, but i haven't heard of any connections between ggLA and HBO at this time

to my knowledge, rosters are only locked for the upcoming promotional qualifier. there will be another qualifier in X weeks (2? 3?) and rosters will open up and re-lock again at that time. curse isn't shutting anyone out from playing competitively.
