It's ridiculous you cant report even low level mods like them, someone like Plexa or Manlyfesto I can see not being able to report but writers and stuff? Should be able to report them because Cheep/Roffles have been shitposting in the league threads for a really long time What was (still is) dumb about it is that Cheep and Roffles were doing the same shit (I'd argue Cheep was worse) but Roffles could be banned because he was former staff, while Cheep got away with it because he's active staff. I'm hoping that Plexa post means no more Cheep cancer. Fingers crossed. To be fair, much of their "toxicity" was aimed at other people making shitty posts or stupid points. I don't necessarily support the way they went about it, but their intention wasn't entirely malicious. They actually care about the scene and don't want stupid ideas perpetuated, especially here on TL, where we're supposed to be a higher quality of forum. From the bits and pieces I've read of GD occasionally, that higher quality isn't necessarily there. Not saying it's always bad, but I've read more than my fair share of stupid things here. If less cancer is desired, then this sub forum needs to start chemo ASAP Essentially, favoritism for past staff has ended and there's little to no room for outright shitposting like what Roffles/Cheep have done over the past few months. Their premise was that there is often bad and inaccurate posts from other TL LoL users like Ketara, wei2coolman, etc that it somehow justified their ways of "toxic" posting to get their point across. I'll take the brunt of the blame with how the situation arose because I was simply too lenient with both parties. Like what Soniv mentioned, there are an alarming number of inaccurate posts in GD and that needs to end. Feel free to report posts in GD about the game that don't make sense. The moderators obviously won't warn or ban a user for having an incorrect idea but it definitely should not be perpetuated further. Will the rules about balance/design whine in GD (or at least the strategy subsection) get more strict as well? :3
Ill miss him too Teut, let's grieve together.

Wow I just learned that ASUS is pronounced A-Soos from a commercial on Dreamleague stream. All this time I thought it was a short u sound, and by all this time I mean like, a decade or whatever since that brand is old as fuck.

Yes, GD and the strategy subforum will be more stringent. Consider this spring (summer?) cleaning for TL LoL. Moderation will be more heavy handed henceforth in regards to bad posting.

The difference is Smite is making a lot of money right now with the MOBA draw of characters/skins/voice packs/icons. GA and Tribes never were really profitable.

There was a bunch of concern in the Smite community for the exact reason you listed Fus. But HiRez is actually making a lot of money off this game, and there have been multiple instances of staff saying that they abandoned ship on those other games because they weren't profitable.
It sucks for people who loved those games, but it's completely reasonable for a business to do something like that. And they've done quite well with Smite, and it's shaping up to be a pretty damn good game, so I wouldn't expect them to jump ship on this one any time soon.

WASD on a fast paced game has always felt better for me than clicking. I'm kind of on the opposite side, I just ended up preferring the isometric RTS style. I guess that's because I was raised on RTS and platformers so it's something I'm far more comfortable with than smite.

Yo I'm bad enough at clicking accurately, you want me to basically play a TPS? Noone needs to juke, I'll miss everything by myself!
I didn't like the way we moved compared to something like League or DotA in terms of jukes and stuff, while we're on that topic. Felt a bit awkward, rushed. Prob had to do with the animations when running/attacking sideways and backwards tho.

Is the moderation going to get more strict in this thread as well?

A lot of the newer releases are really good. Nemesis, for instance, has really great movement and attacking animations.

I mean, it's off topic, so "anything" can be discussed here.
I'd say it's probably subject to "don't be a toolbag" - we can self moderate halfway decently, I think. We mess around and do stupid shit here, but we've also proven that we stand behind our friends when we need to.

The combination of that we all play League, TL doesn't want to recognize LoL, and sometimes our users like to do stuff together outside of League makes this thread a good lounge/watering hole.
As long as users aren't belligerent, you're free to spam away and talk about whatever you want. I personally think TL LoL OT is at a good place right now.
