I'm expecting concurrent viewers for S3 finals to hit 2 million.

So here's an ontopic question. We've discussed how support items suck out loud, but in my styrafoam league about half of the games buying an oracles is fairly wasteful because I'm the only person on either team warding. I can carpet bomb the map in wards, but it often feels like having some more combat impact would help my cat herding be more effectual. Are there items besides a locket that are worth picking up (in this hypothetical situation) if my squad has dominate or effective vision? Assuming also that I play with bads because they are my people and I belong amongst them.

Does it matter? If the TV in the gym is set to ESPN, it counts as a view even if the gym is empty. The simple fact someone turned on the TV and set it to ESPN says something. It's the same as a 'fake' fan just tabbing open Req's stream (instead of Dotardnoscopeblaze69's and working on his math homework while it noms his/her bandwidth.

The only way I can see LoL losing steam so as to lose viewers to Dota is to make the game even more casual. As it stands it's an "easy to learn, hard to master" type of game, which attracts the a full gamut of gamers. If LoL makes too many steps away from skillful gaming, then Dota will gain players without having to do anything at all. If LoL does nothing at all they seek to lose players to Dota over time due to people maturing past the technical skill cap of the game. However, that sort of change is not likely to happen over the course of a year. TL;DR: Riot shares are good for a year at least. Buy!

Sauce is generally thicker than syrup, though the stuff you buy in stores is so artificial it doesn't matter. At home I usually aim for ~330F for making chocolate sauces whereas you can just hit 180F and get chocolate syrup (runnier, more water content, less pyrolysis of the sugar)

I think Dota is way too intense and difficult for the casual viewer and could never expect similar numbers unless LoL started losing steam. Considering how much of the population is Bronze/Silver and will probably never leave that ranking I don't think Riot should be too worried about losing many people from reaching the skill cap and jumping ship lol.

With all the random SC2 hate that we used to get our way, I wondered if we'd be less likely to bash on people involved in other esports, but I don't even think the majority of LoL players give any mind to other games from a competitive standpoint.

Whether or not it happens it mostly up to riot, but also nexon. less seriously: if the dota 2 playerbase grows at the same rate it has the last year, every humanon earth will play dota 2 in 4 years lol. they don't have weekly LAN, thats a huge difference for me as a viewer in any game. online events suck dick compared to LANs
