In practice it's a lot harder because landing good ults with him takes some serious skill, and even slight movement can send someone flying off in some direction you didn't quite anticipate. Then again I'm really good at Gragas at suck at Kassadin, so my point of view is probably skewed.

EDIT: And you get to feel like Scarra when you ulti someone onto your q and then walk away like a badass.

Its actually somewhat viable to start shield on him as i went back to base and bought chete+3 and didnt use the pots untill i was left ( -_- ) to solo drake. Was surprised i didnt just die really lol, 1st clear time was somewhat slow but i just used smite on blue and then it came off CD when i went to red so buff times were faster. Does dorans shield block the damage from the big monsters?

Yeah, people tend to go absolutely nuts if you screw up even one explosive cask. My point of view is, it's so powerful and on such a low cooldown, a single miss tends to be pretty irrelevant in the grand scheme of things so there's no point in beating yourself up over it. People routinely tell me I'm the worst Gragas ever (which tends to make me miss more ults, because of the extra pressure/time wasted jawing with them and that stuff takes some serious concentration), but he has a win rate of like 45% (which is good enough to be in the bottom 10 across all ranked play, mind you) and I win ~65% of my games with him and the other 2/3rds the time the enemy jungler is like "man, I wish I had Gragas on my team" and I do fine with him in arranged 5's. Such is life when your ult is so difficult to land effectively. Sometimes you're just off and there's no much you can do but shrug your shoulders and move on to the next game. I think my favorite case was some Xin Zhao flipping out at me when someone burned a flash to get away from my barrels while they were mid air and he died under tower (he should never have dived). It's like what do you want me to do Xin, telekinetically move my barrels mid-air? I'm not Jesus, and I don't have any wine because I'm not Gragas Esquire. There was no arguing with this guy, he just wanted to yell at me.

It doesn't matter how many incredible Lux bindings I can get in a game, if I screw one up the team will still bitch.

It seems like you do a lot of writing in that blog. Go ahead and start your own thread imo and you can bump GD when you have new content.

And in my defense, when I kicked Jax onto Graves, the game was pretty out of control anyways so it was a good laugh. My team wasn't quite as amused. >_>

Like kicking a fed, full health Jax straight onto your ADC (I've done this in an actual ranked game). There's so much you can't calculate and be 100% sure about before chucking explosive cask. People don't really understand this because so few people play him, so they tend to get extremely pissy if your ults aren't 100% on point. I'm looking to bet some, especially on worlds where I'm pretty sure koreans will be a safe bet.

It's really difficult for me to get a desirable binding with our comp against yours. If I bind Xin and we jump him he's gonna knock us away. If I bind Kennen and we jump him he just ults anyway. Gragas can dodge it with body slam really easily. I wasn't able to get to Graves the entire game because your front line was so scary, plus he can easily dodge it. I was focusing on getting binds on Xin/Kennen as they dove into us, or getting picks on Zyra which I was able to do a couple times because she liked to telegraph her moving forward a little bit too much IMO. Maybe I should have been less reactionary, dunno. I really liked Zors idea that we should have focused on Jax split pushing and defending 4v5 at towers. We did it a little bit and it seemed to be working, we just didn't have any sort of a plan and you need a coherent plan when you're going to do a strat like that. Jax with teleport and us communicating better could have helped a lot.
