The ability to instantly clear the wave is huge in roaming. Clearing the wave just as it arrives gives you 45+ seconds before you miss any creeps. That's enough time to go 2/3rds of the way to a lane and back again, which is enough pressure to force any warded lane into an all out retreat if they know you're coming. Whether they see you or not, you contribute a lot simply by locking them down with R and W, and in many circumstances you can afford to hold onto E and use it when you or your allies have them locked down. E is still less DPS than Q, and less certain, but roaming is as much about your utility as it is your damage. Lissandra also scales really well, so if all you can do is farm you're not really hurting your team unless your lane opponent is roaming and you haven't been warding. It's certainly better than getting your butt kicked. | ||

If you're real behind in lane maxing E can let you safely farm, but maxing Q gives you more offensive pressure. It's probably very matchup dependant. | ||

I don't know exactly how I should have played against Diana. Generally ranged champions should dump on melee, but her poke and 6 power was really strong considering how (relatively) short Q's range is. I'm thinking that E max (based on the discussion) might have been smarter so I could just clear easy and then go help bot and top. Even though we won, I didn't feel like I did much until my RoA had fully kicked in. I think I need to play her more to get a feel for her matchups. I don't think she's as strong against melee champions as like Lux or Annie, but her anti-diving power and gank support is top notch, so she can play relatively safe and scale fairly hard into the lategame. Anyone have decent insight into what her matchups are like, or should I just play her until I have a feel for myself?
