She's def viable and even gets pro play.
Why isn't she picked more? She is pretty vulnerable to being jumped on and her burst range is not great, makes her reliant on a good front line. Her roaming/global pressure is also not great, which is really what a lot of mids are picked up for right now like TF/Karthus/Zed/Lissandra/Lux.

Ssong playing her right now on OGN stream (is it a replay or something? not sure) could be interesting if you want to see syndra play.
Was probably a reboradcast. OGN Does now rebroadcast on 6PM CET and 6PM PST

it's a rerun from this morning, but he makes some really sick plays with her, if you are interested in Syndra.

For reference, on the NA client I get 30-35 FPS with very few peaks (well, disregarding the 350-500 ping), whereas on CN I consistently have <20, and it'll drop to as low as 1-5. Anyone ever get a problem like this?
FPS is a hardware issue, are you on a different computer?
Nope, it's the same laptop that I used to play on in NA. All I can think of is that the Chinese build isn't as optimized for low-performance machines. I've tried playing around with some more settings, and it's playable now, but just barely (for Singed too, lol). Speaking of Syndra, she's free this week on CN, but I've yet to see a single player brave enough to try her XD
I play on the chinese server, and the only real noticable difference I've had is that the pvp client takes up more, cause there's a bunch more junk on the homepage. My computer is basically a toaster, and I play on the lowest settings on both NA and CN.
Also they're not much for experimentation on here, I've had people straight up insta-dodge because I picked sivir or urgot (one time I picked urgot and someone on my team was like, I've literally never seen this champion before), and I get chewed out for picking nunu jungle...
EDIT: for reference, I average about 55 FPS when there's nothing going on and 30 during the game, so maybe your computer is just worse than mine =/. I still lag out during teamfights a bunch, so it could be that the chinese client is less optimized, I'm just barely over the threshold of playability.
EDIT EDIT: probably not on the same server, but if you wanna duo queue hit me up lol
The FUCK I'm watching MegaZero's smurfing escapades while flipping through a bunch of songs on Youtube and stumbled upon Clarity by Zedd. I've heard this song before obviously but I never thought to look up the singer, Foxes. I look her up and start listening to some of her stuff, it's alright. I turn it off and flip back to MegaZero and what is he listening to? FUCKING CLARITY

Man, can't believe Toyz is retiring. Still, he gets to leave on a high note-- one of the best mids in the world (I'd say top 3 but I'm biased), won S2 championships and the Allstar thing.
I thought this guy's post was pretty funny for so many reasons. Otherwise its a LoL-related thread in the SC2 subforum...pretty much expected everything in there.
League of Legends is a viable business, and the Korean youth market can be exploited to a massive degree with a few smart business deals, and it was a matter of time corporations begin to wise up about it. Obviously there are talks with various companies, and some banks if rumours are to be believed, which doesn't surprise me in the slightest. It's just common sense.
As for the obligatory thoughts on the consequences involving the Starcraft 2 scene, the thing is, the competitive scene involving Starcraft 2 was always going to be more of a global phenomenon, rather than a KeSPA associated professional e-Sport, and was celebrated as such worldwide. KeSPA is making smart business decisions based on simple market research, and I don't know why some people pretend to get surprised that Starcraft 2 was never a thing in Korea, just because it made huge splashes across the globe elsewhere.

I dunno, the forum actually seemed pretty civil this time, if maybe a little bit depressing Maybe all the kids and trolls are asleep though (bit ironic coming from me)
I can probably agree that the skill cieling in LoL is lower than both SC2 and Dota, but it doesn't matter. I play/watch the game that's the most fun. And that's LoL.
According to the numbers, the majority clearly agrees with me.
