The guy typed "/IP_FIND_RobertxREE" into chat. If he wasn't actually DDoSing, he went sufficiently out of his way to make it LOOK like he was that I don't think anyone can say it's unreasonable for him to be punished.
If you make a declaration that you have a bomb on an airplane, you're still going to get arrested even if you don't actually have a bomb.

OK Yango. Suppose we are both challenger tier players and we play each other frequently. I stream, and I hate you to the guts. One day, after I verbally abused you for the 10 millionth time, you said something unkind about me, which was captured on my stream. Unknowing to you, I have bound a hotkey to my firewall which I activated 10 seconds after your message which makes me seem like I dc'ed. Can I now accuse you of ddosing me? What if the pattern persist through a handful of games we played against each other?
Also, "IP_FIND" does not equal ddos (unlike "I have a bomb"), at least not in the eyes of a common person.
EDIT: so yeah, I am sure if Riot knew for sure he was doing it, they would most certainly get rid of him (since Hexo is a Riot employee, he can easily be fired for unethical behaviour). But honestly Riot isn't too sure about it.

although, again I wanna reiterate, we should be careful with how seriously we take analogies with real life crimes because the standards are and should be much lower for punishment in a video game.

Seems like he was just doing it as a troll/joke in Solo queue though. Maybe these guys are friendly? IDK. At first I thought he was DDosing in a match vs GGU and I was like, wow ultimate scumbag but even if he really did Ddos him it's bad but not thaaaaaat bad so a warning seems okay.
Don't really care about the elo boosters.

Finally got promoted to diamond V! yay :D. Had a long breakeven time around platinum V / IV, and then within less than 2 weeks i went from there to diamond V. Just gotta wait till variance evens out ~

Here's my gorgeous paint diagram. Purple things are enemy casters, blue is enemy and red is Khazix. The other spikes get consumed but the diagonal one goes right through the casters onto the enemy, letting you skillshot through the minions when the opponent would normally consider himself to be safe. Requires you to 1-shot the minions of course, but you can hit them all once to circumvent this. I've like never seen anyone do this so sorry if people do do it. Can't remember how many times this specific trick has let me stomp lanes I otherwise wouldn't.

I don't think we need to give as much benefit of the doubt because compared to real life crimes, I think the community for a video game should have a much higher tolerance for false positives and a lower one for false negatives.

Have your mmr be way higher then your league rating. Get placed in plat V. You don't even have to win more then you lose. Gain 40 lose 17. Winning like 3-4 in a row helps though.

Yeh just be on a hotstreak and ace the placements, thats usually enough (if you are severely below your 'optimal' ofcourse).
Gaining 32~ per win atm, hoping to get out of gold soon and my first time into plat  1,5 more lvls to go

They never said when they would release those. Usually its within the week after a patch hits the servers, so anywhere between now and next week. Most likely with the release of the karma-rework

Hmm, so is this Elo-boosting really a serious problem? I see alot of pros on the suspend list. Guess they were doing it for an extra bit of income then?.

Are those guys suspended from LCS then because of the account suspension? Or is it just for ranked and normal play that their accounts are suspended?
