for hecarim builds, gauntlet is a rich man's item, if you don't play like xj9 you shouldn't ever get it, and it has no place in 5s unless you're fed. You need to tank on hecarim so sv/sunfire should be your core, you do a lot of damage with just a spirit of lizard elder.

Why not?
You just suggested SV (which I'd get later if I needed the MR), Sunfire (Belt for GolemSS, Chain Vest for Glacial). Seems somewhat analogous in terms of gold use.

Holy shit NA servers are fucking terrible right now why aren't they shutting them down? Instead I've now lost 2 games because I thought the first was just bad luck.

Is there an issue with the Pulsefire skin? Seems when you cs the creeps just disappear and not grant gold. Might be seeing things though.

Sunfire spends 700 gold on non-defensive stats (Sunfire passive). Gauntlet spends 2700 (only the Armor can be considered a defensive stat). Not analogous at all.

Build path for Sunfire much better along with what Yango said. So much money spent on mana and AP, makes me hate FF despite the awesome on-hit.

That's comparing Sunfire straight up with Glacial though. I'm not trying to say rush Glacial. Probably something like Machete => SS => Giant's Belt => Glacial => GolemSS => Gauntlet.
If you need more HP/MR at any point, build the pieces to SV.
I haven't played much Jungle in S3 outside of Noc/Fiddle, so I'm somewhat theorycrafting here. If something doesn't work, just point at what part so I can see why. :O
Edit: You can pretty much build the pieces to Sunfire, without actually getting Sunfire. I'm really not sold that the passive from Sunfire is worth it on a champ like Hec. Gauntlet's onhit effect on the other hand is amazing. :O :O

Jesus, Plord blames a lot LOL. You can tell he's trying to hide his inner-rager that he's done a great job suppressing since his rise to fame. Idk Marn's team is pretty good. Heartbeattt and Megazero are super good, not sure about the rest but it's not a team to feel bad about losing to.
Though it depends what their goal is. I don't think either of these teams will place top 4 in the qualifier but it's not an awful team to try to build up and work on in the future. Don't think any up and coming NA team can beat Curse and FeaR or ex-Quantic.

marn's bot lane is good, i don't think megazero is very good though and i don't know a ton about marn himself
marn's team will probably make it to LA, PL's team definitely won't
i don't think marn's team can stand a chance against any t1 or t2 or t3 na team though. maybe if they had more practice/time
