I don't think that having something like Word open really affects your game performance that much by taking up CPU cycles. The issue is not space. Messing with the OS is not recommended for game stability. Neither is closing the client in my opinion because I don't think it's enough of a resource hog. You can follow the link and try to close other applications and AVs that may be running in the background. Set video settings to low. These kinds of rumors remind me of increasing the pipelines count in firefox and reducing the time you took to start rendering pages. By making more requests than one could handle or use, anyone following the advice could easily have their data be throttled by the server they were getting data from. Page rendering as soon as possible caused stability issues, but could be beneficial if you just wanted to start reading the text on a page asap. | ||
