I really want to play more ranked (only 8 solo que games) but I just can't deal with it. When I come up with the courage (rarely) I get into champ select and I see things like
"I'm bot Garen" or
"I'll go with Singed"
And I know that its just not going to end well. Frankly I don't care if I lose, but the sheer effort it would take to wrangle these noobs in their placement games into something that can work just seems so draining when I can just play normal draft, play my preferred role generally (support so not hard to get), and have a generally reasonable set of games. I know the idea is that you can win with anything (especially in placement games) but it's just not a fun experience to explain, no Garen does not go bot and no, you can't just say I'm playing Singed and think its all hunky dory. I just don't have the personality to do so, I just play to have fun and the placement games are like the opposite of fun for me.
It's not that I'm some amazing prodigy, I'm probably a 1300-1400 level player and only at support, my ad and mid are probably 1200ish and my top/jungle is about 300 elo.
tldr : QQ about placement games, should just man up

Honestly Voyboy has probably been the worst player on CLG ever since he joined, idk what happened to him but CLG Voyboy is complete shit compared to Dignitas Voyboy. Maybe he got bad, or maybe others got better, or maybe he's just not good at playing passive farm lane top. Chauster probably gonna be a lot better than Hotshot in the jungle. locodoco and jiji on the same team makes me incredibly happy because those are probably my two favorite players in pro LoL. Doublelift is whatever, he's good as shit and sometimes his trash talking can be kind of funny but he and Hotshot are my least two favorites on CLG. tl;dr Same reason people will always like the Dallas Cowboys, the New York Yankees, and the Chicago Bulls. Even if they suck fans love them 'cause of the memory of when they were good.
Fair enough. I guess I just think I'd be offended if my favorite team made that purple side statement bullshit. I do believe that CLG is actually better now with Voy though so I wish those who are still fans good luck.
It'd be cool if Hotshot learned Vlad so that they wouldn't have to roleswap just because Chauster's is better.

Pretty sure it's champ specific and most like for Cho' Gath and Vlad only. Chauster has said that both HSGG and Voy's vlad were absolute subpar so he takes it himself (and is making a convincing showing with it).
HSGG Cho has always been among his best in lane and jungle.

It's no secret that Chauster is really good at Vladimir. There was a tournament game ages ago where Chauster went mid because CLG wanted to run Brand and because jiji can play Caitlyn but not Brand (this was before the temporary Chau/jiji swap).
