Nice read. Very excited to watch this.

Embrace progress.

This is M5's to lose.

CLG.NA vs M5 in the finals! Come on baby, make it happen! m5 taking it all though. I can't wait to watch their LAN play again, I hope they absolutely crush everybody.

iG seems overrated.

strengths:
1. Farming
2. Champ select swapping
3. Team fight positioning

weaknesses:
1. No international experience
2. Inconsistent

A diligent top team should be able to prepare against iG and punish them for their aggressiveness. Weaker teams will just get out-riced.

Rooting for TSM but I think iG will pull some major upsets. Thanks to all the writers and editors for this amazing preview.

A lot of the players on iG played at IEM Guangzhou way back when against SK and CLGna. iG played CLGna a bunch at LANs in South Korea. They've also played tons of teams at IPL5 qualifiers.

They have about as much exposure to the NA/EU scenes as TSM and M5 have to the Asian scenes. But iG comes with running really really unconventional midlanes and team comps in general. If they make it out of group stages they will throw a team off in quarters. They will make M5 or TSM play from an uncomfortable/unfamiliar position if they get matched up against them in quarters (I'm not saying they'll win because of it, but it's a lot harder to play if you're uncomfortable with your opponents play style). Not saying M5 or TSM couldn't do the same to iG but I don't think either of those two teams is going to play anything other than standard (although M5's 'standard' is a bit different from TSM standard).

I don't think giving iG #4 in the power rank is overrating them at all. Of all the teams in group stages they have the best chance of throwing M5/TSM off their game and beating them in a bo3 imo.

Has M5 faced any asian teams ever?

They have no international LAN experience (actually playing overseas), and factors like jetlag, nerves, etc. can all really affect play. I think their aggressive laning won't work as well against the better teams, and they're vulnerable to counterganking.

Not saying they're not good, but I think a lot of their opponents were caught off guard initially. That advantage will be greatly negated at Worlds.

One wrong information on Team Overview map:

Najin Sword did not win 2nd on AZUBU Champions Spring 2nd. It was AZUBU Frost.
Najin won 3rd on AZUBU Champions Summer.

It could happen. Or the reverse could happen. But TSM/M5 winning against the Asian teams won't have anything to do with them not being prepared for aggressive counter-jungling lol.
