Distribution of ranked players by ELO I expected far more gold players than the graphs show. Kinda surprised to see myself in the top 5 percent. Gives me hope that I can reach platinum I guess, I only have to get better than ~3% of the remaining population of lol. | ||

What I find interesting is how the bracket immediately before any of the old cutoffs trends lower than a curve would predict. I'm guessing players 50 Elo short of gold/platinum had considerable motivation to get to the next level, but not necessarily go further. | ||

I then noticed that Eve was in the top ten for the week along side Shaco, Amumu, and Teemo. I then decided that solo queue win rates don't mean shit about the relative strength of a champion. note: I'm not saying Eve is bad. I think she's pretty solid. Just that I think people who cite win rates as if it's an example of a champion being too strong or too weak are being dumb. | ||

Old platinum was 1900, people just barely got over that hill and then stopped playing in order to maintain platinum is my guess. The same goes for 1400 which was the old silver benchmark. | ||

He builds wriggles and starts feeding, losing his lane, his tower, and whining for ganks all day long. Then he starts insulting Trundle, calling him a trash jungler and how he can't gank and all. Well, this kind of player believes he is in Elo hell.  In other news, Gragas' burst even without any aa or his ult is so huge. Oo And he snowballs pretty damn hard. | ||
