ODEE is only talking about the context of my personal tweet, not of what has happened in the last day and a half. To clarify for everyone:

Scoots not did 'confirm' anything about Dignitas on Live On Three, that was me, he may have said it first because I talked with him during the pre-show. What I confirmed was something you already knew by Tuesday afternoon/Wednesday - that Dignitas COULD pick up a Dota team if they wanted to. That was the first time Riot told a team they could use other games beyond their statement. Digntias simply did not ask Riot previously before that if they could acquire a dota/moba team or not, mostly ODEE just being busy, and he can attest to both of these things. So because Dignitas never asked, they were never told they couldn't. I should have made this more clear.

Complexity and EG did ask previously, and then were given this answer. My original tweet included ire towards Riot for saying it was a misunderstanding between the teams (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=29022381#post29022381). I includes Dignitas along with EG and Complexity, which is admittedly wrong in this context. Sorry about that.
I was attempting to reach comment from Riot and Valve before releasing this story as a whole, but there's some of it.

Dan is one of the best leaders in the game. I put Dan and Jatt as the two best leaders. If I made a team I would have Dan or Jatt as my jungler, period. Remember when EG was pretty good? They had Dan. Remember how EG isn't as good? They don't have Dan. Mechanically Dan may not be the best player and in solo queue he's willing to take chances that he wouldn't normally take, but don't for a second think that Dan plays competitively like he does in solo queue. Competitive LoL isn't so much about mechanics as it is about strategy and execution of the strategy. I'm not saying that mechanics don't mean anything, but I think people tend to put too much emphasis on them.

I'll try to give you guys some insight into playing competitively that might be lacking on TL (note: this is just my opinion and by no means the final word on competitive play). When I played for Dignitas at IPL the sole reason we won was because of our play calling and cohesiveness. Who called our plays? Our jungler (Jatt). He did a damn fine job of it too. If you guys watch the series on youtube I think we got literally every single dragon in that tournament. If you then watch our teamfighting, Jatt would usually run in and pretty much die, and we would win. Why? Because he knew how to initiate. Initiation does not require much "mechanical" skill, but it requires a good understanding of teamcomposition and each team's current positioning and current powerlevel. You need to know who to initiate on and how the teamfight will play out. Hell, when Jatt was Trundle he would literally pillar, run in, ult a carry, and die. What I find teams are usually missing are good leaders and disciplined players. An example of a lack of discipline would be in a recent game I saw (can't remember if it was a different IPL or not) when Regi as Ahri went for a kill against Elementz's fiddle support in mid lane. While almost killing Elementz, he got feared in the process and Crs came out of the jungle and got a free kill. Even if Regi did get the kill against Elementz most of Crs was missing and there was the chance he would die as well. In a competitive game you shouldn't take those chances. Those kind of mistakes can cause a team to lose the game. At the end of the day a team needs a leader and it needs people willing to follow that leader, otherwise you get bickering and indecision that leads to slow reactions and losses. At IPL we were the most organized team, and I believe it showed.

I would have talked about my time on CLG but that was a couple years ago and everyone was bad at the game. Just for those who don't know, I used to actually play for CLG. The original team was myself, Hotshot, Chauster, Jiji, and Kobe. Elementz ended up taking my spot because I decided it was more important to focus on school at the time (He went to WCG 2010 in my place).

Not that I like the dude, but it's kinda sad. Imo he did improve a lot while he was in curse. He used to be an abysmal support though, so "improve" can be applied loosely.
