when I support, Varus is by far my least favorite. If I go Raka so he can q spam it's ok but, then I'm playing Raka.....
@below: I disagree, good Leona play makes pretty much any ad with offensive spells look good. I'd pretty much take any(standard) AD other than Cait or Kog over Varus when I play Leona.

I agree... although Varus/Leona is pretty good, but on the whole I think he's quite underwhelming. Varus is really the only champion I've seriously regretted purchasing.

Random thought: It would be really cool if this subforum could have an implementation for ELO display on posts. It would certainly give some posts a lot more credibility, and you would know who is talking out of there ass vs. who is actually good or at least above average.

You know you can try out these champions on the PBE before they hit live for free. Bring a friend to avoid the 2 person minimum that sometimes crops up, make a custom game filled with bots. You'll crush the bots regardless but you'll get a good grasp for how fun the champ is or if there's some mechanic you simply hate.
I wish it had been around to help me avoid Fizz, who I bought a skin for and then never played again because it turns out I hate laning mid with melee casters.

Eh people can just do that in their signatures, I don't see a problem with low ELO players making credible posts, most of the time they have good intentions and its reallllllly easy to recognize the people who are "talking out of their ass."

ELO has nothing to do with intelligence or how right a person is either... I know some guys....

You don't have to have high elo to know what you are talking about. People with high elo can also be completely wrong on some things.
Besides, anyone with an elo > 1200 is already above average...

If pro players are wrong so often then I would imagine that high Elo and low Elo players are wrong just as often about the shit they say. Not to mention I don't think anyone on these forums save locodoco is a pro player. It's safe to say that every champion and nearly every strategy is viable for the vast vast majority of people who post here.

They are actually pretty true, alot of pro players have a burning hatred for Ezreal, Oddone/Saint Vicious in particular.

just broke 200 cs under 20 minutes for the first time. picked up 3 kills as well. Feel much less like a scrub now.
I don't know what to get when I start snowballing like that. After a rylias and boots of mobility I don't know what to get. a gunblade rush isn't giving me the dps I'm looking for but a deathcap that early won't really kick in like I want it to. Spell vamp doesn't seem like a good investment anymore after the heavy nerf to only get 20% after 2.5kg. Would a haunting guise +void staff into an abyssal scepter and then finally a deathcap to make my dps go out the roof be what I should be looking at?
