Imo he did well for basically coming into a game he knew nothing about and trying to commentate it; I think OGN just did not have enough time to get established English commentators so they took people who were already present in Korea and had at least experience commentating a game.

Torch did relatively well, I just wish we had commentators who were more knowledgeable of our scene.

moletrap made a decision to switch over from GOM-SC2 to OGN-LOL, and i'm sure it's a game he plays much more often than starcraft 2... if not before then in the present. i am trying to say that this is his specialty now.
what i don't like (and it's no big deal really!) are all the wrong calls and incorrect iterations of what happened in the games.

Anyone can link me to VODs of this tourney with Korean commentary? Tried the VODs on Tooniland.com, the korean site, but they don't load for me.

Ya I don't dislike his casting style or personality, it's just it was very clear to me that he had not even broke 100 games of LoL before he started casting. To be more clear on that he would never elaborate on why certain champions would be picked for certain comps or how they tied into that teams strategy.

Also as you've stated he was quick to make calls on fights which would turn out different from what he commented on because he didn't have all the knowledge of how items and abilities tied into their champions and then how they would effect the fight as a whole.

I do look forward to seeing if he's improved, hoping for the best, since we need more non-riot casters. (Not that there is anything wrong with them, but they can't cast for every LoL tourney being run.)

Thanks! Should be interesting, definitely looks like it'll be more fun to follow than Spring.

Both CLG in the same group. That's unfortunate for the drawing of foreign spectators.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

Only if one fails to advance, they should both do well in that group though.

LG-IM is strong. I wouldn't say both CLG are a shoe in.

Oh definitely, but that group is infinitely preferable to say, group A.

there hasnt been any LG-IM matches anywhere i can find, but MVP blue... played the battle royal vs Najin shield, and they went pretty much toe to toe loosing out 3-2 in the blind pick with every match going very close, I wouldnt count them out... And Najin shield is considered to be one of the teams with the potential to win it all this time around.

Also supposedly korean feels Draven is OP, and MVP blue's bottom supposedly has one of the best Draven's that anyone has seen in korea (least thats what they said 2 weeks ago) so am very interested in seeing that come out as well..

thats correct. But Iam still wondering about the format... only 2 dates for each group. But if everybody plays against everybody in every group then it should be 3 dates or am I wrong?

6 matches for each group. Why can't 3 be played on each date?
