but then i thought about how his W+R have 14s and ~2min cooldowns and other than that you get like no scaling at all from your items, plus he has 0 single target spells to proc full spellvamp or rylai's slows. then there's the fact that ap jungling itemization doesn't exist and if you're laning you're back to only scaling your W which is on a 14 second cd so i have no idea how you could possibly be able to trade effectively with anyone. | ||

Maokai's damage potential is really overlooked imo. He has a 0.4 ap ratio Q on a super low cooldown that's basically a permaslow with enough cdr, his W has 0.8 ap ratio which is pretty above average altho it's rather high cd, and his saplings have a combined 1.0 ap ratio if you hit both portions. Not to mention he's tanky as shit with minimal items and his base stats are amazing. | ||
