Riot probably just found it funny since it's a running gag so allowed it, but some moron I'm sure will actually take him seriously. | ||

I was expecting him to say 'Just kidding' or something after, but it never came. I'm kinda surprised to be honest, I mean, I knew it was a joke, but aren't these things supposed to be aimed at people just learning the game or about the champion for the first time? What will new players who don't get the running joke think? | ||

Better to help people improve their thinking and actually try new stuff than just ALWAYS playing a champion in only one role. And besides, I doubt most people just starting to learn the game even know what jungling is XD. If people find her more fun to be played as a jungler than as a support, then job well done, I'd say. | ||

Pre-3 though, she's a lot less scary; and post-3, I don't stand next to her without a charged shield unless she just blew her CDs. And if I see Riven being that passive, I'll get an E or two in to harrass her when there's enough minions to be safe, and I'll use W to punish her more if she doesn't react. I'll stay at a safe distance whenever she's full health; once she's < ~2/3rd I'm not really running from trades, as long as my shield is up. (If she bursts you and retreats, she eats another E on the way back; if she stays, a full QWE.) In all honesty, though, I'm low ELO, and the dynamics may change completely with better players. It was also fairly close, had I been behind in CS or kills, she would've won trades hands down. You also have to fight around minions to have a chance. | ||

Only time I would ever build a PD is if the enemy team had no AP carry and no hard CC. Otherwise it's always better to get BV or QSS. And since the enemy team will almost always have an AP carry and CC... edit: Although fun fact, IE + 2 PDs yields a lot more DPS than IE, BT, 1 PD but since every AD carry usually needs life steal double PD doesn't work too well. | ||
