All it would take is for the mods to actually step up, make it clear that bullshit wont be allowed, and then show that the space can be shared. You're telling me that having a recap of the lol tournement after IEM on the front page next to the SC2 one is destroying the SC2 tournament scene? If TL accepted LoL with open arms....a shit storm of massive proportions will erupt. Just look at what happened in one thread. TL is too entrenched with Starcraft and unfortunately, I think the SC2 (and even DOTA2) elitists outnumber the open minded individuals (such as the BW community)I would love to see a TL.LoL, but I doubt it will come into fruition anytime soon. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!! + Show Spoiler +JK JK. We're not elitists. We just love BW. Ya as do I! I enjoyed participating in the kim carrier thread and the OGN thread. I would say that the BW section is much more open minded when compared to the rest of TL. (in terms of LoL)
Probably because the LoL crew isn't trying to kill Broodwar.

I remember way back when LoL was in its infancy and we were just one thread in the Games subforum....eventually the powers that be at TL relented and gave us a little slice of the E-sports pie. Since then others have benefited from our initiate status (DotA subforum, creation of the Sports/Games section). Surely this was done for a reason....it just makes me so sad that people can't just get along and accept that there are other games than just the one they enjoy watching/being a part of.
Neo, I look forward to your post on the weekend, but sadly this shitstorm may take a while to die down simply because of the dissimilarity between SC2/BW to LoL. I am well aware of the SC2 vs BW = SC2 vs LoL argument, but even in the face of obvious truths people are shutting it down because of how entrenched SC and Blizzard are in their minds and in this community. There has never before been ANYTHING this popular made by a company other than Blizzard before, at least not on a worldwide stage level. People simply cannot get around the fact that something could be better...well, not better, but different yet still fun that is not in some way related to the Holy SC. Not only that, but these p[eople who are ignorantly abusing us and our game in the majority will refuse to understand us by prinicple alone and so the myths of it being 'easier' will never be debunked in their minds. They see it as an easier DotA and nothing more, and since they will never try it themselves, they never will. The hipsters and fanatics will have their way for quite a while I think and I truly worry about how segregationalist TL.net will get over this issue before it is shut down or some drastic change is made that forever changes the face of TL SC as we know it.
+ Show Spoiler +Edit: Probably because the LoL crew isn't trying to kill Broodwar. You can't kill something that is already dead! lololol + Show Spoiler +J/K, <3 BW and always will.

The two LoL threads in the BW forum are like cupcakes when compared to the LoL threads elsewhere on TL.

i was just wondering did any TL official ever talk about the possibility of Teamliquid recruiting a team for another game like LoL or Dota or will TL stay Starcraft only?

TL is SC only team for the foreseeable future.

I believe Nazgul briefly touched on this on The Executives today.
iirc, he said that there's a higher chance of TL picking up a Dota2 or LoL team than something like CS because there are sizable fanbases for both games on TL. But the likelihood it happening is still quite low because this is still primarily a SC community. I could be slightly off so you'll have to watch the VOD

Well compared to the sc2 mobs bw fans are mostly open-minded.

That's because nearly everyone was sorely disappointed that SC2 failed to truly succeed BW, at least for the BW fans, and lashed out that it wasn't.
But believe me when I say a vast majority of BW fans have either tried SC2 extensively or still follow both games.
LoL, on the other hand, didn't carry that overwhelming expectation, and they found it to be a fun game to play as well.

This is a pretty good representation of what Nazgul said during the podcast.
The discussion came up about the pros and cons of professional teams having multiple games under a single brand if anyone was wondering (ie. dignatas vs TL)

Ugh why do people keep bringing up LoL balance as being bad. I can't remember a time in this game when the game was imbalanced.
MY SKIN ISN'T THICK ENOUGH FOR THIS.

My brain hurts when I try to read league related threads on Teamliquid outside the league subforum

I have to try really hard to not post LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL in the GD thread. Probably just going to close the GD tab on the sidebar for a while.
The amount of flamebaiting and misinformation in that thread has caused me to type up a response and erase it at least 3 times already for fear of getting warned/banned.

Hey guys ESPORTS IS DYING because the biggest esport in the world is F2P. And fk Chess, such an easy game, no mechanical skills needed, any monkey can pick a piece and move it on a board!
agreed, we need to drop the focus on "korea"... but ive been saying that since beta

The quality of the forums has just declined so drastically. We need a purge!

That's actually not that bad. MorroW is entitled to his opinion that SC2 is a better game. As long as he's not insulting LoL, I have no problem.

Morrow's response was fairly level-headed. He stated his opinion, but also that he wasn't in a position to judge either. He also said that overall it might be a good thing for esports and that SC2 players shouldn't worry too much about it.
Dunno why you're picking on his response.
EDIT: Oh, it looks like he edited what he wrote. Meh.
