Sports fans, as a majority, don't give a shit about the sports they don't follow, and for good reason, because the success of a different sport has little to no bearing on your own. One could easily say the same thing about different comptetive games. In fact, the success of LoL can really only boost the sc2 scene, because all it does is promote the legitimacy of gaming as a competitive sport. I see no way how the success of LoL undermines sc2 in any way shape or form. Now maybe if we're talking about dota vs lol or something, they will inevitably be compared due to their similarity and lineage, but it seems the majority of the mindless haters are sc2 defenders. man, i know i'm just preaching to the choir here, but sometimes good to vent. close-minded people are really frustrating sometimes  | ||

But the day I quit SC2 LR, I was really close to raging. I just couldn't stand the SC2 community in general anymore. But it was very cathartic to let it all out. I totally agree that I don't understand why people care if another game is doing well as an E-Sport. I've said it before and I'll say it again. So long as E-Sports as a whole becomes mainstream, I don't care what games are considered E-Sports. If it takes Farmville or Angry Birds or something silly becoming an E-Sport, fine. To a lot of the SC2 players it is the pinnacle of competetive play. Everything else is shitty/unworthy, they dont care to much about other esports because they draw a few k viewers and are all very neice. Then along comes LoL whos viewer numbers just blow everything else out of the water, they feel threatend and instinctively lash out in hate. | ||

As far as the second, if you're getting counterjungled and don't invest in a few wards, then I have no sympathy. Otherwise skimping on wards is ok. I'd actually like to see mid and top buy more wards in general, especially mid. | ||

Good guidelines, maybe. But sorry man, this game is way more complex than to allow for such things to be absolute. As soon as you leave the egocentric view, "no ward on jungler" becomes just plain wrong. If you state it like this: "If you are jungling and intend to singlehandedly win the game, don't buy wards" then I'm much more likely to agree. | ||

So yes... negative correlation coefficient. Lower post count means more hate. Also I consider my post count low (<1000). And I'm all up for the study. The relationship might not be linear. I even suspect that it mighty be highly non-linear. Especially 1-2 post counts have a high lol hate. What we first need to do is to introduce a lol hate scale (LHS). For that we will need to classify all the different types of lol hate. I would suggest a point system on a 1-10 scale. Then we just have to check for certain lol hate criteria (LHC) in order to assign points based on the LHS. We can then bin the different post counts and average the LHC points. Plotting this over the bins should give a nice graph  EDIT: I just noticed my 666th post was unintentionally a post about hate... Oo | ||

With your Support buying Doran's, you can easily leverage the advantage into mid-late game dominance. A more flexible, stable, and ultimately superior build. Plus the Europeans do it, and they're so much better at LoL than the Americans (and Canadians). I'd insult your low ELO, but everyone knows that ELO is completely irrelevant to your actual skill level, rather determined by how lucky you are with teammates. (What did I miss?) | ||

However, IF I ever get to release my "Project: Role- JUNGLE LIKE YOU HAVE DOWNS (Twice over)" guide, you will see (through the miracle that are my MS paint skills) that it is possible to have complete map vision of everything important through 6 wards. Of course, the only lanes that ever ACTUALLY front those wards are bot- top skimps on a ward (2 wards top shuts down every gank path there is, but tops only buy 1 ward) and mid NEVER wards even though 2 wards shut down counterjungling, ganks, AND give you eyes on the enemy jugnle at nearly all times. So considering that even in tourney play the only mid who ever grabs 2 wards at once is Salce, and NO tops grab 2 wards, I sure as hell aint gonna waste money that could go to my wriggles on warding for people. But IF I'm feeling nice and dragon is already warded, I will use my wriggles mid. | ||

Well the jungle should never buy a ward thing is obviously completely false so those facts aren't too solid. Also the wriggles dorans thingy depends, if you're losing the lane and go back to base at like 1200 gold with 2 dorans and a vamp, you generally should buy the Wriggles because it helps far more than having nothing and you might fall too far behind by the time you actually buy the BF Sword. Wriggles is also useful if you are dominately pushing and are on a strong lane and ban to aggressively do dragons or steal buffs. edit: Anyone else giggle when you oneshot Shen with Fizz after Deathcap, Lich Bane and DFG? | ||
