This is a hotfix. Shen promptly got nerfed in the next patch after he got a 4 skill buff this current one. Kinda expected but still doesn't explain how all those buffs got passed at the same time. Moving on now~ Edit: apparently the minor patch went live already? If so, then technically it is a hotfix. But I swear I didn't download anything today when I opened the launcher. Credit to TD, who I still detest.

Hotfix = Deployment of changes directly onto the Live Server (i.e. NA/EUW/EUNE) Patch = Every fortnight on a Tuesday and involves Champion+Balance+Skin release (Wednesday for EU) PBE Patch = Tentative changes Riot tests out and gets user feedback on, but not guaranteed They're very different and when I read this I was at first very confused because there is nothing scheduled for deployment on Live. @SnK: Yes, Riot has the ability to deploy hotfixes directly onto the Live Servers. EDIT: Neo Shen-ed me in post above. ![]()

Frankly, I prefer they overdo buffs, then gently slide back, rather than the other way around. It's easier to gradually nerf something to an acceptable level than to buff without going overboard.
