In Dota Lion and Vengeful spirit were picked al lthe time for a reason.. Hm Incidentally, a large component of Venge's power is not her CC (500 range single-target stun for less than 2 seconds is not that amazing in the scheme of DotA), but because of how insanely well her % AD increase and armor reduction scale lategame.
thats not even half the story and you know that. The scaling is a nice factor but the large vision she can give is insanely useful and her swap is scary stuff for a carry.
alot of the other strong supports/gankers in dota have insanely long disables. In LoL disables are much more costly and they are a good chunk shorter in comparison (not only because of tenacity). champions with reliable disables often have other major disadvantages over the other champions. So you cannot translate 'stuns are good' into LoL so well.

I'd say fiddle is the most underrated champ right now by far. I'm absolutely destroying nerds around 1500 rating with him to a point it's not even fun any more and I'm terrible at this game. People, including the pros, have no fucking clue how to build him and no fucking clue how to use his ult. Every single game people laugh at my build and call me a troll and then I go legendary and they just shut up. When someone efamous finally understands what it's all about this guy will become hella feared. You can shit over someone every single time his ult is up, even with multiple wards and tower hugging, and fear is insanely op if you max it first.

Basically what this guy said. I've used Death mostly. I could see Power being good for something like Mage-Tank top lane? Gravity is pretty fancy too, but Death give slightly less AP than Hextech (I think 40 AP as opposed to 45 AP), but you also get a 40% magic damage DoT for the next 3 seconds, all for 200g less than Hextech. I'm don't normally do the math craft on it though, so I'm not sure which augment is the most cost effective (maybe Yango could help me out with that), but Death is really nice.

i can't speak to that, but i used to ban him and kennen every game before people stopped playing him after jungle remake. The ult ganks are just... ugh god, he's just oppresive and unfun to play against. No opinion on how good he is 'objectively' but for solo queue i consider him a huge threat, he feeds off your teammates and wins two teamfights with aoe and it's over.

Nice to see Tiger jungle is still viable, seems pretty strong for invasion jungling. Kills Red/Blue really fast.

I hope Tiger Udyr picks up in the jungle (it's already used 90%+ in lane) so that the added exposure makes people understand just how over the top the proc damage on Tiger is and can get it nerfed about 10-20%.

Tiger was never "bad." It is just flawed.
You trade early mid game power (it is quite considerable for tiger, no denying that) but basically have to chose between either doing damage late game or tanking, since there is no decent way to build both.
Phoenix, on the other hand, has more sustained damage, is tankier since you scale with aspeed (and can thus just get wits and melt faces AND deal a ton of damage) and can build pure tank late game and not worry about your damage output dropping. It also clears jungle much faster..
And in today's lol, where the majority of the time the jungle is expected to be a damage absorption factor, phoenix just does everything better

I mean I was in a game with a shyv who just went BoM early game and ganked the crap out of everyone mercilessly, endgame sold them for mercs and was so farmed off of us she was impossible to kill.

Udyr as a champion just works better with phoenix
Warmog Atmas is not efficient on him since turtle shield is the best tanking tool ever. 220 HP every 3 seconds with max CDR.
With tiger you need like warmogs atmas or some other AD to do more damage than phoenix.
