2 ways to win solo q singlehandedly:
1- Play an aoe ap carry, annie preferably. Dominate your lane, either with kills or cs (preferably both). Get more ap faster than anyone else can think about leveling up or getting defense, win by dominating every teamfight prior to late game. This generally works despite moron teammates, as you should be able to use them as meatshields.
2- Play a carry jungle, nocturne, fidds, gangplank, yi. Gank and get kills, putting your team ahead and letting you get your offensive item (GB or Triforce) then build tanky. You will do more damage then anyone else, and be unkillable. Same principle as the ap carry, but this time you cant use your teammates as meatshields, but gain better pushing power. NOTE: This only works if you are at an elo where people are idiots and are open for ganks. Not advisable for higher elos.

Just look at the welfare thread. I'm an 1800 Elo player so I have no problem winning at 1500 Elo. Theres no fucking luck in there, I just play better than everyone else and win. Really? how do you win if you get shit like clarity yi feeding or heal warwick feeding. Without playing someone who can 1v5.
You outplay their team so hard that their whole team 'feeds' you, and you get like 100 last hits.

Easiest to carry with a tanky DPS like Jarven. Once you get fed nobody can kill you and you can just 1v5 their whole team even if your entire team is useless.

I've been playing a lot on EU lately, and I'd have to say the troll to tryhard ratio is much higher in ranked than it has been ever. I've had much better luck with solid play by my teammates in normal and ARAM games.

Ehh, usually what I see is that people don't help teammates and then cry at them for feeding and being the reason why they are in low ELOs. Hint, Annie leaves mid. Don't just call mia, don't just ping it, FOLLOW HER. Kite her if she has the ability to kill you. Your teammates will be able to easily look at the map and see Annie is coming, your jungle will get into position, bot will come to help. Maybe the fight won't go so well, oh well. But at least you didn't straight up give Annie a double kill tower dive because you called "mia" and thought your job was done. When someone is gone from your lane, if it looks like they could get a kill in a lane and it's safe to leave your lane, go help.
This also means that as top you should really take teleport (they always do so in high ELO EU according to streams). Why? Because if bot is feeding, you tele gank. You force 4v5 dragons. It doesn't matter if you win your lane if you don't save your teammates and get yourself fed from actually fighting.
'This also means that if you're jungling, gank gank gank. Every time your ult is up, gank. Yes, you won't be as farmed, but what farm you're giving up is for your teammates. If you get a kill you get farm anyways, but making the other team back up due to pressure makes them miss minions and get behind in levels which makes them just as easy to kill as wriaths + wolves would have. Plus it keeps your team from feeding.
Actively make your team stop feeding like this and you'll step up a lot. Think of it like this, just assume the ELO system works. The person who is feeding is about the same skill level as you, but they had a bad lane, now they aren't as tanky as you, are getting discouraged, face checking since they are dying for a successful kill otherwise the game is over for them, etc. You can do two things:
A) Tell them they will get reported
B) Gank their lane so even if it's not successful, they can farm and catch up in levels. Put a ward for them if they're too dumb too/can't go back right now because that would cost them precious farm that they need to get back in the game.
You're at your ELO for a reason. It's a coin flip but it's not a fair coin, the coin is slightly favoring you if you're good and helping your team and it's slightly against you if you're not. If you're stabilized, you have a fair coin, so that tells you something about your play.
