Say if I had Frozen Heart (UNIQUE Passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 20%) and Spirit Visage (UNIQUE Passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 10% ), I would only get 20% CDR, or would I get 30%? If 20% then the Spirit Visage would be kinda a waste later in the game, and could get something like the Quicksilver sash or another item that gives me decent MR | ||

But if the items are diferent, you don't have to worry about unique effects. Quick reminder, CDR caps at 40% so going more than that is a waste. | ||

I won't get any conclusive results (since I am still a baddie not even lvl 20 :S), but it will be nice to try something new. (I know this costs a lot, but I am still refining the items, so its not perfect yet.) Merc Treads, Void Staff, Deathfire, Frozen Heart, Warmogs, Deathcap. 400 AP, 35% CDR, a lot of slowing. I guess the cost makes up for how OP this would be. | ||

like something like IE LW PD PD BT BT is a great theoretical build but when the hell are you going to get farmed enough to buy all that, maybe 5% of your games at best | ||

That's because on 90% of the people for which it matters (AP casters), blue buff + blue elixir/Soul Shroud aura gets you to cap no matter what the hell you buy. On champs that want max CDR and don't plan around having blue buff (e.g. Vlad, Renekton, lategame Ryze), optimizing toward 40% CDR (or 30% if you want to blue elixir for the last 10%) in your build is actually pretty key, IMO. | ||

I like deathfire on Galio basically for the unique active. Min 200 magic damage? Yespls. The CDR is more of a bonus. Plus if I decide to open pendant first (which is never, lol boots frist) it can eventually build into it. | ||
