Also on higher levels (i.e. 11 onward) it does super solid damage. And having a farmed tank that can actually initiate teamfights for you is not a bad thing (and US does the same only they have their farm tank bot with a roamer instead of top). But we don't call him a tank carry, just a tank
So i guess his ulti is more like trist's ulti then

Hotshot carries with Lee Sin in like every ranked game at 2000-2100 elo so he seriously can't be that bad
|
Well its not really something you will hear on EU either, even if it might not be that inaccurate of a description, all I wanted to say was the farm is likely better spend on someone else in many games. A farmed Lee Sin will just be inferior compared to a farmed ranged ad if no one else in your team can initiate strongly on their ad/ap carries. But if they have a weak wall, lack of cc, plethora of squishies that you can choose from he is a viable carry. But in many a game where he can't be played as a carry or a jungle he can still be played as a support. He is very strong in a duo lane, he can zone a lot of champions super hard giving your lane partner complete free farm. And while you areen't well suited to carry support items, you do not need a lot of gold to deal significant damage to squishies, keep your carry safe with slow/shield/knockback and be able to take other heroes 1v1.

Wow I thought TSM vent was loud and chaotic, but CLG is a complete fucking mess.. constant arguing and people screaming over eachother, hilarious!
I always thought CLG was this calm, decisive and strategic team, wow

Really? Almost every game I've played as involved a bit a of chaos with important games. As long as you have a set leader it works out fine.

Jiji, so much fucking CS holy shit.
Edit: But yeah, their vent is crazy, so many people trying to tell people what to do. "Jiji go top," jiji stays bot. Etc. etc.

They don't have a set leader, they're all suggesting and arguing about things
TSM have reginald, but CLG have saintvicious elementz and hotshot screaming over eachother 24/7 and jijji trying to get a few words in
|
Yeah clg needs to have a set leader who they'll listen to always, and if he was wrong they'll talk about it after the games. But you can't have people being so indecisive
|
That game looked like my games.. no map control or wards, get pushed on 24/7, people going to jungle instead of pushing lanes, randomly win with ace =X
|
CLG would have lost that so horribly if it had not been for that hilarious Baron steal.
Lack of gameplan + complete inability to maintain mapcontrol ftw!

Tbh when it was just Me, Chauster, Jiji, Hotshot and Kobe we were pretty calm for all of our matches. Vent during that scrim was a mess, it's a problem when you have too many people with big egos.

I thought CLG had Chauster doing that.
Edit - I dont see Chauster listed. Or Kobe. That could be part of it.
Edit Edit - They discussing having a set leader in vent right now.

They stated that they didnt have a leader during a WCG 2010 interview, so no.
Elementz even said just now on vent that they've gotten by on individual skill for such a long time and that now teams have caught up to them so they need to work more on their team work.

I've picked up Kog again and I've been going this build:
0/9/21 in masteries
Apen reds Armor yellows MR/lvl blues ASPD quints
2xDoran's Blades, Zerks (went Mercs once when the other team had Galio, worked fine) as primer items, then Black Cleaver into Mallet/Bloodrazor (the latter in no particular order, I start working for mallet when I feel I need the HP) with an odd Banshee's Veil.
Is this build optimal for DPS Kog or there are better alternatives? I've seen people stacking Zeals on Kog for retarded kiting, but I don't really see where the damage comes from in that build.
Also, how do you build AP Kog? In theory, his lategame DPS is even crazier due to something like 15% HP per hit AND 49% + 29 flat Mpen with his other spells also doing immense damage but you need like 4 expensive items for that (archangel for mana, deathcap, void staff, bloodrazor) to work out. I don't really feel strong at all in the midgame when I either have damage and run out of mana before the fight ends or have a lot of mana, but don't do sufficient damage to justify my teamfight presence.
|
DPS Kog has me alternating between Malady and Manamune for my first item and either Triforce, BR, or more deeps second. My brother plays AP Kog with Tear Deathcap whatever. Kog can also run a convincing hybrid build with GRB Triforce.
|
To me dps kog takes too long to kick in, is too dependent on teammates to protect you, has too poor range (when W not active), and is generally inferior to other ranged carries so I play him AP. You can actually get pretty strong dps lategame since 300-400 AP is not that hard to farm up and that adds 3-4% damage to your W, similar to a bloodrazor. The key is to just stack magic pen.
|
We've had kog dps item efficiency discussed in detail before- I think consensus was malady and wits end are amazing kog items.
|
chau and jiji are leaders of clg who decide the ban/picks and make calls
-from chausters mouth

Yea, but they dont have an in game leader it sounds like. Regi can be a dick, but late game he basically takes over and makes sure everyone is on the same page. From what it sounds like, CLG doesnt have that guy yet.
