Edit: Although all the Teamliquid players will tell you AD is worse, Grandjudge runs a sick AD build.
The problem with AD is it gives you less survivability, and Katarina is already a squishy target.

lol but in all seriousness. i really want to go AP with her for the survival, but i just feel so useless if they save a stun for me and i cant use lotus. with AD at least i get to poke with BBs.

the bigger issue is that you don't get to conveniently run Rylai's or Void Staff when you go AD.
AP is better at high level for ^ that reason. However, at lower level play, AD is easier to play and kicks in quicker. So to answer the question.... LC was actually right on this one, they're both viable builds for Kat. The larger problem is that Kat sucks donkey dick right now.

Doubt it. Last Whisper works on physical damage (Armor Pen), Kata's abilities are all magic damage.

Who knows what he banned for...
All I know I got banned one night out of the blue over a week ago. The banned was lifted at some point the next day but I still haven't heard from support as to why I was banned in the first place.

no, all of Kat's damage is magic, not physical, so AD Kat has nothing to gain from LW.

Attacks = physical damage? If the new Last Whisper includes sources of physical damage why wouldn't they just PUT physical damage? And I know all of Katarina's skills are magical damage, although two of them use (potentially) AD to determine the damage output.
