With the largest international event to date coming up at PAX next weekend, we're here to bring you another bracket contest. This time along, MSI has provided us with fabulous prizes for this contest, leading into the tournament on the 28th—namely a sweet MSI Z97 Gaming PC. And a motherboard! And a keyboard/mouse combo! Really, it's all great. With a tournament that could end up pitting two regions against one another in the finals, it's bound to be a sweet event.
The deadline for this contest is Friday, Aug 28 6:15pm GMT (GMT+00:00)!
To make your prediction follow our guide. You can correct any mistakes you’ve made up until the deadline.
The winner will be the person who has gotten the most amount of points. You get points by guessing/predicting the correct winners, and then there are bonus points if you also get the correct score.
Predicting the correct score of a best of three will give you 1 point and a best of five 2 points.
Additionally we will have tiebreakers to separate those with the same score. The first will be choosing the two most picked and banned heroes, and the second will be predicting the total number of kills in the final series. You will fill these in below your bracket.
eStar Gaming has forfeited their spot due to visa issues! You can change your bracket accordingly until the deadline.
Seen a total of 3 Heroes of the Storm games in my life. If I happen to win I will be without internet a few weeks starting from today. I will reply to any requests for information once I have access to the site again or manage to check on some other persons connection.

Yeah it's a really hard thing to predict lol. Back when Heroes of the Dorm was going on Blizzard kept up with the average kills and deaths of each team and it was all over the place too. The skill disparity was a bit greater, but some teams had like 10 kills per game, and other teams closer to 40. It really depends on which teams you think will make it to the finals and how many games you expect them to play.
Only a few hours left so make sure you get those final submissions in! And after the tournament starts no cheating and changing anything on the page, or you'll be disqualified (and we will know).

No, the score for that match-up won't give any points since it was a walkover.
So, a friend of mine picked eStar to win, then go on to lose against TempoStorm.
Can he get points for the TempoStorm match if they win against Cloud9? Despite growing up in Indiana with march madness and all that, I've never actually done a bracket kind of thing before and don't know the rules when bad picks start cascading through.
So I didn't get to change my bracket in time, but I predicted eStar to win 3rd place. Will I get points if C9 win 3rd place instead, or am I just doomed?

From what I gather you're at a slight disadvantage only. The round 1 match of estar vs c9 noone got any points so that doesnt matter but I think you can earny slightly less because you have estar instead of c9 in semi's and perhaps 3rd/4th place. Not sure exactly how this works.

Oh ok, I think I get it. So I guess we'll have to see if you get points for predicting both the correct teams in a matchup or just for predicting the winner and the score, I'm not sure.
Woaaaah! I just realized I got second place on the contest!! I was away on a trip and didn't get to catch up on the replays until tonight. So..... how do I claim the prize? :D :D :D
I can understand that shipping the top 3 prizes across world might take some time and effort but it shouldn't take several weeks to PM the cd-keys for Type-0.
Hm, Hate to be such a bother, but I haven't heard any word yet regarding the prize--I'm worried I missed an email/PM. What the update status? No pressure, just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything. I completely understand if things are still being figure out. Thanks!!!
This is actually the 3rd contest in ~6 months that has ended up like this with TL. I'm not sure whats so hard about maintaining some form of communication. Most people wouldn't care if they needed time to figure things out but at least say something. Contest was over weeks ago and we haven't heard a peep from anyone with any real authority.
Don't worry guy naz will be here soon to tell us they tried really hard to get you the prizes and once they find the right way to get the prizes they will jump all over it. They considered some mehtods but it didn't work out, and now they're going to keep waiting until the right fit comes along. I'm really disappointed with the direction tl has taken in the last year or so. Is it really so hard to keep people in the loop?
the rankings still aren't updated so I guess if you didn't get contacted, you lost in the tiebreaker. You'll never actually know though because nobody with any authority has posted results or clarification despite the contest ending 5 weeks ago.

I think a post in this thread outlining the winners/tie-break results would have been good. (I say without checking to see if that actually happened)
