To use daily quests has its full potential in Hearthstone. Unlimited re-rolls after 1ham eastern time (NA). I cant confirm this trick on the EU server but I was curious to know if it worked elsewhere. I had no problem for months now with this trick and I know Blizzard is doing it on purpose.
It's working with any amount of quest. The game let me re-roll my quests starting at 1ham Eastern time (NA). I can do this as often as I want until the new quest pop up in the morning ( around 4ham-6ham ) Can`t really confirm this time since I am sleeping. Few people know about this but I know for sure that Blizzard is aware and they want this to happen.

100% working on NA east

Are you perfectly sure it's not just you skipping days a lot and then trying it? Because, you know, when you've skipped more than 3 dailies, they queue up for you, and you can keep replacing until you exhaust them. Another possibility is in the past you've skipped like a month or something and it keeps your quest slots still and you've not used them up.

AFAIK doesn't work on Europe. On the contrary, if you reroll between 1 and (I think) 4 AM, your reroll is burned and the quest doesn't change.
I saw a post on reddit a few days ago about this, you can influence the behaviour on NA by changing the timezone on your computer, but there doesn't seem to be the equivalent for Europe.

No i change and do my quest daily. I never leave my quest log full when closing the game for the night. Skiping a day for replacing your quests dosnt work anymore since they dont stack no more.

this has worked for me as well. I just keep rerolling at around 2am central (1am eastern) until i get 100 and 60 gold quests
|
So can someone test it on EU? For me it is 1:23AM CEST And it is not working
|
Confirmation! It`s sadly not working on the EU server :-(
|
Yeah I can confirm this as well. From 1am to 3am (central time) infinite rerolls. You can only roll the 100 gold quest every 5 days I believe. I thought this was common knowledge by now. I'm not sure if Blizzard is doing this on purpose. I thought they tried to fix it a while back but ended up making things much worse and reverted back.
|
100 gold quests seem not to be available to be rolled every day, and sometimes there are only 2 different 60 gold ones to choose from.

They have an internal cooldown on them.
I hope they fix the bug anyway, I know of a large community of people who have been abusing this since the games release.

Putting the date forward on your computer I would imagine? Blizzard seem to rely on the clock too much for their game interactions.
Wouldn't surprise me if one day someone figures out that Ragnaros hits X target based on the current clock time in seconds.

Holy crap I wish I had known about this earlier.

Is that all you need to do?
There's some kind of conspiracy on Reddit where the post has now been deleted and a bunch of posts with information got down voted very quickly.

This is old old news. Why is this even being brought up now? I've been doing this for months.
The time on NA to do this always starts at 1am EST

This happens to be my "go to" forum for hearthstone and this is the first time, AFAIK, that it has been posted here.

How can you know for sure? Makes no sense to Blizzard want this to happen. It must be considered a glitch, and should be fixed ASAP (* translating "ASAP" to Blizzard universe: 4th quarter of 2015 *).

Especially since the bug doesn't appear in PST where their dev offices must be, if you don't intentionally change your timezone, and it doesn't happen on the other servers.

Blizzard clearly doesn't want it to happen its just that they have no idea how to possibly fix it.

You get infinite rerolls on your quests. So you reroll for 100 gold quests every day.

Changed my time for PST to UTC coordinated universal time -11 on and off all day, waiting for it to happen.
Never allowed me to reroll. So right now, on PST, I can reroll quests, but if I switch to UTC-11, I can't reroll anything. Maybe Blizzard did something.

I just tried this last night and it worked. I did it shortly after 10 PM PST, and was able to get the infinite reroll. I tried again around 12 or 1 AM, and it didn't work. So try just after 10 PM. Note that after you change the timezone, you need to restart the game if you had it running.

You should be using just "UTC", not "UTC-11:00".

The full range is 9PM - 4AM (EST) or 6PM - 1AM (PST).

Thanks for posting. I had observed this behavior before and re-rolled until I got all 60-gold quests, but I never pressed my luck -- not having read about this previously or knowing when it would stop -- to try to get the 100-gold quest. Did that tonight; I'm up at this hour often anyway.

Btw, I tried changing the date a week or several months ahead and it doesn't work.

Do you need your clock set to EST for this to work? A bit confused.

On August 16 2014 14:08 willoc wrote: Do you need your clock set to EST for this to work? A bit confused.
No, between 01:00 GMT (+00:00) and 08:00 GMT (+00:00), if you set your clock's timezone to "(UTC) Coordinated Universal Time", then you can get infinite quest re-rolls on the NA server. That's all there is to it.
|
If you re-roll, let's say, in the morning, can you still infinite re-roll after 10pm PST?
|
There should be a major problem with this though, if I get it correctly - if you play a lot, you may end up skipping days on the re-roll option. That's because your new quest for the day comes right after the re-roll "happy hours". That means, you should NOT fulfill that quest until the next "happy hours" of the day, if you want re-roll. But that's like 17 hours during which your play is restricted. Either class restricted, or even totally restricted if it's one of the general 40g quests that you are guaranteed to fulfill no matter what you do, if you play during the day. So yeah, if you play a lot of Hearthstone, you'll generally just starve yourself for quests before you could wait for the "happy hours" and re-roll the quests for better ones.

Of course, it's not a full 17 hours for most people. You also get a bit of leeway from your daily re-roll, by doing as much of the undesirable quest as you can without actually completing it, and then using the re-roll to get a new one.

This doesn't appear to be working for me tonight between 0600 and 0700 UTC. If I X out a quest, it disappears and doesn't reappear. When I exit and re-enter the Quests dialog, the quest never changed. (This is repeatable by entering and exiting the Quests dialog without restarting the application before 0700 UTC, with restart after 0700 UTC.) Is anyone else observing this behavior?
Blizzard just activated the last Naxx quarter, so who knows whether that changed something tonight.
|
Hi Xathanael, indeed it doesn't work today, most likely because of the patch. Which could be one of two things: a) they've fixed it in this patch so it will never work again (sad) b) the server downtime and patch application mess up the bug for today but it will still work tomorrow Conclusion: try again tomorrow to make sure.
|
i'm leaning towards 'bug' or 'due to downtime' right now, as the quest I tried to re-roll actually vanished, and only showed up again after a re-login
|
I hope so, b/c I decided not to pay cash for Naxx, so I really need to swap out these crappy 40g quests for the 60g ones.
Edit: It's 5:00 UTC and it's exhibiting the same behavior as last night for me.

nooooooooo doesn't work anymore
