I assume you're going across the grain right? If you're going with it just split it with some chisels. You could get a strong steel cable and a pulley. Start a groove for the cable in the wood where you want the cut and then, making the cable as tight as you can bring it around the pulley. Then turn it as fast as you can with a crank keeping the cable super tight. Its basically sandpaper but thinner... | ||

With a well-made contraption, you get 360 degree cutting. The rope is easy to hide. You can also find a way to fix one end of the board to the ground, then just walk in circles around it while pulling on the rope. | ||
