What do you mean "no decent education" how do you know? What "example" does she need to set? Look dude: she is a girl gamer on a show that asked for gamers.. she isn't a paid actress asking to play a role in a show.. she is being herself.

gawr, i am posting to much but I have to step in.
Alyson was my team mate on rainbow for years, and I would literally kill for her.
She is an AMAZING person and anyone who has ever met her knows this. She is extremely sweet, naive, pure, and religious. I know, I used to call her an walking oxymoron as she simply exudes sexuality and simplicity, but please trust me when I say she is as pure as pure can get, which is why I am so protective of her. Please, ask Geoff if you don't believe me, but I guarantee there is nobody that would not love this girl if they met her!

Frits, first of all you're making an inference based on extremely limited, and extremely contorted data. Second, she is who she is. She doesn't need to make a political statement if she doesn't want to.

Right and I think she is a shallow person and setting a bad example. Obviously she's hot and girls will look up to her, which equals influence. I think people on tv should be a little more aware of the example they're setting, this is obviously a matter of opinion.

Anyway, just to mention, if they came up with the overall rating in the way that I think they did, coming first in the team game doesn't guarantee not coming last overall, because they use individual rank as the tie-breaker. Still, for a member of the top team in the first round to end up last overall, the rankings would have to be completely flipped between the first two rounds. If (for arguments' sake) we assume that every outcome is equally likely, except that lack-of-practice = guaranteed last, that means he was taking around a 2^4/9! chance of finishing last overall, which, I guess, are acceptable odds (1/22,680). [spoiler=How I combined the rankings]Individual events are scored on a 0-n scale. Team events are scored on the same scale, except that teammates scores are averaged out. E.g. team 0 gets 0+1/2=.5 points, team 1 gets 2.5 points, etc. You can subtract .5 points across the board at the end to make the bottom rank 0.
I haven't checked the previous episodes to see if that (or something equivalent) is what they were doing, but it worked for this one, and it seems reasonable. I do wonder if the above is the fairest way to determine such a combined score, or even if some absolute "fairest way" exists (assuming that each contest is equally a test of skill, of course). Any math types have an idea?
(don't know why the above spoiler doesn't seem to be working)

also what exactly did she do to come off as a "dumb bimbo" I thought she seemed like a really nice person, she didn't even talk that much..... you can't really help it if you're an attractive person.

She's 25 and spends ~40 hours a week on videogames it's not exactly hard to put 1 and 1 together.
Also contrary to what you think, using the word 'kid' to describe someone is not thought of as badass nor is it appropriate when adressing someone obviously older than you are, stop being a douche if you have nothing to add.

This just in: you can't be attractive and play videogames. It sets a bad example for other girls who don't even watch the show.

all ive gathered from all your posts is that you think she acted like a dumb bimbo because she's good looking.

frits you assert she doesn't have an education (or "decent" for that matter) and called her a dumb bimbo because she is 25 (that the magical age where fun stops? I didn't hear that) and plays video games 40 hours a week...
oh btw
She makes a living playing video games. She literally is starting her own company for the video game market. But you don't know any of that.. you just assume things.. for the worst btw.

And...that's not ok because she's a girl with big boobs instead of a guy?

Actually, I disagree with that almost completely: physical appearance is a relatively small part of what makes someone attractive IMHO. Compare someone who smiles a lot and someone who rarely does: I think that regardless of their relative beauty, you would find the first more "attractive".
My point being that "attractive" is to a very large extent about mannerisms, and when those mannerisms fall into the category of "cute" (= childlike, in a certain way: e.g. soft voice, lots of angling of the head, and sidewise glances), there is a certain amount of baggage that can come with it, especially if you are a pretty girl.
PS- I am not judging Alyson in the least. I formed very little opinion about her during her time on the show. Just opining that stereotypes are more nuanced than you think they are. (IMO, they wouldn't exist if they didn't contain at least a grain of truth.)

This is a weird conclusion given that my original statement is based on the fact that women are usually discriminated against because of the way they are stereotyped due to terrible role models leading to a vicious cycle. What makes you think I think that's cool when guys do it?

I just mentioned 25 because that is the age where just about everyone is mature and not going to change a whole lot motivational/personality wise, I didn't even know what her age it was just a wild guess lol. Maybe I am an asshole for judging her without knowing every little thing about her, but then again isn't that the whole point of reality television.

My mistake... you meant to say on a site dedicated to progaming that no-one should spend that amount of time on video games?
