i know this is all rumors and shit but jesus christ i was really excited to hear Johnny Depp would play the Riddler. If there's anyone who could make Heath Ledger's Joker look like a highschool play performance, it's Johnny fucking Depp. There's absolutely no way Eddie Murphy will be the Riddler in the new batman movie, because the Riddler is white | ||

Yeah, but he's too much of a badass to bother with color. I can't think of a white guy that could fit the role (granted, Daredevil was awful). I just hate these 'so and so shouldn't play this role' threads because there's one about EVERY goddamn character about every goddamn comic book movie. As far as I know ordinary people are shitty when visualizing who is good for a certain role. I mean when Carrey was tapped to play Riddler I bet everyone and their gay boyfriends were giving each other blowjobs at the perfection of the choice and look how that turned out. Personally I don't enjoy Bale as Batman at all as he's way too similar to the American Psycho role he played. Plus he doesn't look like Bruce Wayne tbh. Anyway, having Murphy or any non-white actor for a traditionally white actor's role will add another layer to the movie. Not that they should be focusing on that specifically but I think they have a great chance at pulling it off. | ||

He is just a shitty actor and would not give the persona that Riddler would have to have when it comes to Nolan's image. I don't think not wanting Eddie Murphy in that role has anything to do with his skin colour, it is just hard to accept him in a serious role after watching his standup, or watching any of his numerous comedy movies. We have come to accept the new Batman series as the premium of it's type and most people just don't want to see a good thing ruined by having a person in the role that doesn't suit it. Everyone also loves Johnny Depp because he's such an awesome actor, not because he's white. What's Bruce Wayne suppose to look like? | ||
