The way I saw it was that they reported that Harvey Dent was dead because if the people knew that he was alive and that their "hope" had turned evil, then that would have completely thrown away all of Gotham's hope and everything that Harvey Dent had worked so hard for. However, even if they truly believed that he was dead and they weren't faking his death, I still don't think that he's actually dead (and I think that he'll likely pop up at some point down the road if these movies continue) for the reason mentioned above. It just wouldn't make sense to kill him off so early, there's really no solid reasoning for that. If by some chance I'm wrong and they actually did kill him off, then that really, really changes my impression of the direction that they're taking these movies in, and not in a good way. | ||

You are correct sorry, it has been a while since I've seen the movie for some reason I thought he jumped, I could be thinking of another movie. But I still don't see how he could still be alive, sure he was a pretty large character in the batman universe, but I think they know they can't milk this current series of batman awesomeness forever, the great acting and directing just can't last, so they are bringing in quick cameos of all the characters but really only spending time with the favorites. I just honestly can't see how he can still be alive. He has served his purpose, they used his character to make Batman out to be the bad guy leading into the next movie. | ||

Just … what? Okay, the reality is, and these are all facts, Nolan has not agreed to make a third Batman. He probably will but there’s no deal yet. There is no script, there is no story, there are no villains picked out. If he does he will make an unrelated movie, probably "the Prisoner", between now and then, as he did with "the Prestige" between "Batman Begins" and "Dark Knight". Most importantly, he has said in no uncertain terms, as has Bale, they hate Robin, and he will NEVER be a part of these movies. The Sun needs to step up. I’d like to think they’re capable of better reporting than this. I'd also like to think that a monkey could be trained to make me a decent god dammed breakfast, but apparently that takes a monkey who's not a total fucking retard. I think he will be great in batman. The people saying he can't play serious roles haven't seen 48 hours. Lots of his other films have just made him incredibly rich. Norbit (which is an awful film) made £93 million dollars at the box office. Here's a stat for you, he's the Highest Grossing film star IN HISTORY. He also helped launch the careers of Halle Berry, Martin Lawrence, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson. Chill out people it'll be great. | ||
