"When Booger was dying, his eyes locked on mine," McKinney said. "And he told me with his eyes, 'Don't be sad, because I am going to see you again."' *Facepalm. This person clearly doesn't understand what cloning is. This level of ignorance really really irks me.

Why waste that dogs lifespan trying to make it into your last dog instead of getting a new one (and making a new acquaintance)? That is if you want a new one.

Now we'll just have the twins living at different times. What would be your opinion if some random rich guy want to clone himself like 3000 times ? Now lets take another example. A child die, and his parents want to make a new clone of him. Do you think it would not be disturbing for the new clone kid to know that he is here only because the original died ? On August 07 2008 04:12 Bill307 wrote: Heck, it's not like you're bringing the other person back from the dead or anything. If one identical twin died in an accident, who would consider the other twin to be that same person? Now replace the identical twin with a clone, and it's the same situation, imo. Reviving the same person would pose less moral and ethics problems in my opinion. But you are right clones are different persons except that the clone has been "manufactured". On August 07 2008 04:12 Bill307 wrote: Furthermore, I think it's pointless to argue about the effects of the clone knowing they're a clone of someone else, or knowing that person's life history, etc. The effects will depend entirely on what kind of person the clone is: it might motivate them to surpass their "original" or it might depress them. Considering the zillion other things that "may or may not depress" a person, I don't see this as being fundamentally different. How can you say " it will depend entirely on what kind of person the clone is" ? i mean knowing that you are a clone will for sure affect your own personnality and you wont have any choice. It is like saying " it is pointless to argue about the effect of being blind / tall / small / or whatever characteristic ". It is really disturbing when you know that someone chose your own DNA and physical look. Life isnt a supermarket where parents can pick up genes for their children. I hope it will remain the same otherwise it will completly destroy all the current system of moral and ethic values. Next step after Human cloning will be genes enhancement and it will lead to even more ethic problems and it will add inequalities among people ( poor people wont be able to afford DNA improvement for their children ). What would be your reaction if you face someone enhanced ? It is like facing a fucking hacker at Sc. It isnt a fair situation.

Yeah, when a girl blows a dog, you don't get dogmen, you get sedogs. Well... she does.

I think you can only commercially clon a dog from Korea. Only if you're willing to pay 50K for dog meat when you can buy for $10 though.

I wonder how I would feel if I found out I'm the clone of some guy who is actually dead. Well it's one thing to guide DNA, quite another to reproduce an exact replica of someones brain with all its memories and inner connections. A clone will start out physically the same, but their brain is gonna end up way different as they grow and learn. My dog just died this year but no way I'd want to clone him... would just seem like a dishonor to his memory to try and get an exact replacement of him. The gif of that cat is so funny!
