edit: although when my sister and i jam we call ourselves THE MANGLERS so what do i know about band names

You definitely need some better quality in those recordings

Not my style, but some decent soloing going on.

If you wanted to get something together I'm an audio engineer and a drummer so I can help with a tl.net album or whatever you're looking to do.

Yeah, clean up your tone man. Slapping on a million different effects and cranking the gain knob just doesn't sound good. I can tell you can play, but to be perfectly blunt, it just sounds bad.

Sit down and write something, so all the parts are synchronized and fit together.

I'll see about recording and uploading something later.

Also, I didn't mean to sound like a prick, I think you have skill, but haven't found the best way to show it yet.

Nice mechanics, but no soul. It looks too much like a guitar lesson, almost no vibratos and 0 bends, you don't really articulate your play at all. I mean, it's quite impressive to watch, but not to hear.

we didnt take much time setting up mics and channels. quick soundcheck at the start and that was it. And the shitty tone was compliments of my RP80 Digitech wah. and Line 6 spider3 both digital. i had like 3 diff distortions and 2 different delays.. i know its crazy and to an extent unpleasent but i have found some killer sounds using unorthadox methods. This was just a recording of the first 6 minutes of band practice and it was completely improv.. we do sit down and write songs. This wasnt one of them.

bluzman. It looks like last.midnight was just demonstrating his shredding not playing a song. other then that i 100% agree with you. I wouldnt mind working on some rock/metal with other artists maybe even blues. I actualy enjoy playing blues more then shred.
I will check out aces high.. i only know how to play a few maiden songs well.

Im Coags younger brother, I played the drums in that little jam thing there. First time in like a week so meh shoot me.

Do note that I havent updated this in a long ass time so this is all old stuff. other than granada, which i play drums in. (i play guitar, drums, bass, and do vocals in one of the songs. I think its called regret)

Edit : well i guess if people are posting their stuff i might as well embarase myself, i dont record much because its hard to do anything decent with a bc rich warlock and a 10w amp, but i got some programs and messed around with the sound a bit, its crappy but someone might be able to get through it without ear bleeding.

nice jam coag, i'm listneing ot it now, i had to turn my speakers up to almost max god damn volume to hear it, but it actually sounds pretty good. To be perfectly honest i was thinking it was going to be sucky, alwasy good to be proven wrong.

Also thought i would mention that all you new people learning how to play guitar feel free to ask any questions i will answer them for you the best i can. Also your more then welcome to show us some of your work and we can give you tips or whatever to help improve you or just share it for the hell of it. you dont really have to be some awesome guitarist to show us what you got.

Id also really like to see more people sharing their music and less "Maybe i will later"

that sounds good i like the chorus and delay.

dont worry man he just misinterpreted your video and tried to give you some advice.

no big deal.

Anyone knowledgeable on the level of skill required to do such technical picking patterns will know that there was tons of commitment to learning how to put soul into your style before being able to attain those techniques.

upload more vids plz

and generaly if you critic someone you should show a peice of your work also (unless they ask for it). so get to jammin bluzman and lets see it.

Your recording quality isn't so clean, you should work on it!
This isn't very my still but it's still good , some worthy solos here and there though =]

btw i wish i could play music , but it's kinda too late i'm 18 , shoulda started couple years ago ;;
