Very True indeed.

Russia can retreat at any time. Well, first announce that there's a ceasefire, then start moving forces away from Eastern Ukraine and Crimea.

I feel like reality still hasn't set in for a lot of the people here.
Eastern Ukraine is Russia, by law now, and by choice for the people living there.
Kiev can back off and let the Donbas go, since they don't like them anyway, idk if that thought ever occurs around here.

So Russia should cease hostilities, and then negotiate the peaceful transfer of the territories to Ukraine, got it.
e: Maybe some international peacekeeping forces too.

By Russian law.
I claim your house. It is my house now. I have just written a law that declares the house you previously owned to be my house. By Simberto law, that house is my house now. You should leave my house.

But in all seriousness international law is less about what principles people hold and more about what power they have to enforce it.

While the latter is true, the rational thing is to be opposed to both Israel's and Russia's land grab, not to excuse Russia's land grab because some people who oppose it support Israel's. Not saying you in particular are guilty of this but it certainly happens.

So just a thought experiment. You are completely ok with Norway invading Russia, taking over a bunch of cities, having a fake vote that totally says it's now ours, and then listen to us whine about how Russia isn't just letting us have it?
Because that is literally what you want Ukraine to do. You want them to accept that it's fine for another country to just invade them and take a bunch of land, because the other country claims it's theirs now.
I'm mind boggled by how anyone could possible logic leap their way into thinking Russia now somehow owns eastern Ukraine and Crimea

Ukraine is evrething russia has taken agreed to by evreone except some african countries, north korea, maybe iran? So the rest of the world will help ukraine take it back, it's that simple.
I also don't even understand this discussion is so low level that it hurts my brain, because zeo and waffles are just so far away from reality that it's not even a real discussion, I don't even know why they post, like most russians wouldn't even agree on these takes, and for them it's understandable if they're biased

Even Israel themselves wants to give back the land they've taken. They are completely fine with returning the occupied territories for peace. Palestine just doesn't want to meet them at the table. We can have discussions all day about who's the evil party in that conflict, but there's a pretty big difference with Russia who doesn't want peace to begin with, and certainly aren't willing to return the occupied areas, which is literally all Ukraine wants from them.

Yes. I'm okay with any decontextualized hypothetical you have to make to make sense of the world.
I'm also perfectly okay with Russia protecting the Donbas from Kiev and it's Azov thugs with tens of thousands of artillery shells per day.

I mean, the Russians are currently pretty busy and overextended. If there is a time to strike, it is now.
And yeah, obviously. I am still uncertain if he is trolling or actually believes that stuff, because i don't know what world you need to be in to believe any of that.

Moving on from the war criming imperialism enjoyer, Kadyrov is reportedly in "a critical condition". There's been persistent rumors about his condition for a while now, so remains to be seen whether it's true this time around.
Andrii Yusov, representative of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, has stated that Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Kremlin-controlled Chechnya, is in critical condition.
