A promised surge in aid into Gaza that Benjamin Netanyahu promised Joe Biden a week ago has so far failed to materialise, aid workers say, as the US aid chief confirmed that famine is beginning to take hold in parts of the besieged coastal strip.
The increase in the number of truck crossing into Gaza claimed by Israel conflicts with UN records and already appears to be faltering.
“There is a lot less than meets the eye so far,” said Jeremy Konyndyk, a former senior official in the Biden administration, who is now president of the Refugees International aid advocacy organisation. “Very little has actually changed.”
One of Netanyahu’s pledges to Biden, to open the Ashdod port north of Gaza as a portal to sea-borne humanitarian aid, has led to no apparent action, according to the Israel N12 channel. N12 reported that none of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Israel’s Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (Cogat) nor the Ashdod Port authorities have so far received instructions about opening the facility to shipments bound for Gaza.

Oh my what a massive surprise. No-one could possibly have predicted this.

Good news the incoming missiles were not from Iran. but Lebanon. The IDF apparently shot them all down, which was quite a lot.

Sure, you can have your personal bar that high where even if the leaks, public actions by world leaders and so on all line up but you only believe things you personally witness. Or you could just wait until the talks end or at least are clearly stalled. That's when they no longer have the incentive to lie.

So late last night a USAID worker was gunned down by an off duty Israeli cop, he was checking on a car wreck victim. Basically a US Government employee.
Still no US reaction as of yet. Even the reported video of the masked cop walking away shows no signs of stab wounds or injuries.

So it appears the US has informed Israel a possible attack tonight. So the IDF is basically preparing its defenses, and hospitals etc. They are jamming aviation everywhere.
Hopefully cooler heads prevail.

I wonder if at the start of the Iraq war it was this obvious that the US was in the wrong

Tehran airspace now closed. Makes me wonder if Iran warned others in advance.

Think we can be pretty sure about that

Now things are serious, pretty sure his security team did not want him there. Now we wait and see if the Iron Dome is not only capable of shooting down drones, but missiles as well.
|
Well, obviously. Even if by accident if a US official would be caught in the attack , would lead to a much larger conflict

US, UK, and Jordanian military aircraft have now taken off. Again this feels like a theatre in order to calm everything down. Hours beforehand Biden returned to the WH and so on. Then the attacks started. The most well documented surprise attack in history.

Are Iran fucking thick or what?
When broad international sentiment is thus that even the US starts to take some baby steps against its traditional unwavering support of Israel in all things, you attack Israel?

No surprise as the footage shown shows the drones very low the ground. Iraq isn't just flat terrain.
Biden to supposedly speak soon. Egypt has closed their airspace now.

First confirmation that some Drones are being shot down before they reach Israel. Still surprised that that UK military is actually involved, taking off from Cyprus.
