2020 really is the gift that keeps on giving. Every other state can reliably count the votes in an effective window of time. It really boggles the mind how awful these states are. There should be no universe where it takes a week to count the votes. It's going to be really close in AZ, GA, PA, and WI (also think NV will be quite close too, but more Biden favored). My guy Arizona was already called.

Exactly how i feel about it. It is still utterly inexplicable to me how any person would vote for Trump, and it is even more inexplicable to me how Trump can be competitive again after fucking up just about anything he could possibly fuck up for 4 years now.

How do you know if they wouldnt vote for Trump if they had to choose?

Indeed.
The last few years have hammered into me the degree to which, as far my value system is concerned, so many people are just fucking awful. Not just in absolute terms, but proportional terms. I just don't know how to describe with any positive words at all anyone who looks at the last four years of Trump's policies and behavior and willingly goes out of their way to get another four. And yet here we are with tens of millions of people, half the voting populace or so, deciding this is the way. Voting for nakedly fascist conman, someone who praises dictators, destroys basic political infrastructure, guts environmental regulations, suppresses the CDC during a pandemic and then lies about said pandemic. And it seems he's pretty likely to win.

TBF, it's not all that every other state counts votes more effectively. A lot of other states happen to not be close enough for it to matter. Only the states that are close actually have to count all their votes on time.
Obviously there are other battleground states that are counting more quickly and more efficiently. But like, nobody cares if a state like Mississippi or Massachusetts doesn't count all their votes quickly because they're never going to flip and they'll be decided long before they get anywhere close to counting all their votes.

Yeah, I'm quite surprised about that one, looking at the counties left, doesn't feel safe to me at all. Trump was down 9% at 70% reported, and just down 5% at 80%.They probably have some info I don't though.

Kelly finally wins that seat in Arizona. This race should've been called years ago.

Calling AZ definitely seems premature at this point.

First to report on something brings in the clicks but if they fuck it up then they have to retract and look like idiots.

NYT has Biden as a slight favorite (actually 64%), betting markets have Trump by like 3-1 (75% to win!)

Not saying Trump is going to win it, but the AP call was definitely pre-mature. The outstanding votes left in AZ are overwhelmingly Trump (as seen by the last 8% that came in). I wouldn't take an AP call as the lords truth (so to say).
