Well given there's been a huge walkout today in the name of #believesurvivors, I'd say that tactic failed like a lead boat.

I think someone in the WH is intentionally giving false information to the press at this point. They are trying to muddy the water by tricking publications into thinking something is truly gonna happen. I forgot what the other similar event was, but I remember this happening recently. Misleading leaks seem to be a new weapon for the WH.

This is the first time I'm going to knock "the MSM" as an entity, they were only too eager to take the story and run with it, when it never passed the smell test to begin with. All the WH needed to do was show that a meeting was taking place, have "someone who would definitely know IF it was going to happen" say it was a firing, then suddenly it is a story too big to ignore. The media had like 10 seconds to decide if they run it or not before they are late to the party. The media as a whole showed a lot of weakness through this ordeal. But it is important to keep in mind this wouldn't have happened without someone trying to deceive the press.

The more accusers there are the more I'm seeing his supporters and Republican senators dig in. Against all reason I think his odds of getting nominated have gone up since the post Ford accusers came out. Embarrassing.

Even folks like Jeff Flake won’t vote if to many of these pile up. The leadership will cry about it how unfair it all is and then try to slam through a nominee during the lame duck session like a bushel of ripe assholes.

Let me clarify... the more accusers there are the more likely the average Republican will vote for Kavanaugh because they see it as political and too convenient. What you noted is our ONLY hope. The silver lining is how this gives the red state Dems cover to vote against Kavanaugh, meaning we should only need 2 defectors from the ladies and Flake to stop this. Their offices are being flooded by protesters as we speak asking them to "Be a hero" and vote no. We can only hope their conscious gets to them since a vote without an investigation is a joke. Having said that, the Thursday hearing could easily go horrible for Ford. She's going to be crossed thoroughly and if there is a single gap in memory then they will beat that issue to death. Further, Kavanaugh will no doubt do great given his background and the intense prepping he is doing with McGahn and co. Kavanaugh's confidence coupled with the inherent messiness of such an old memory means there is a high likelihood the Republicans get enough cover to justify to themselves and their voters a vote for Kavanaugh. This ofc, could change based on what the other ladies say and how hard the Dems go after Kavanaugh in the hearing. Edit: So apparently a Fox interview with Kavanaugh and his wife is airing tonight. I'm sure it will be hard hitting and unbiased.

It will probably be about how these accusations are affecting their family and how awful and unfair it is that someone would try to break up their family. You will get the happy (white) nuclear family, with the loving wife and the sweet daughters talk about their plight of surviving this ordeal. They will be presented as the real victims.

They already recorded it so we will be seeing the edited version approved by Shine/McGahn.

Like I keep saying, the conservative Supreme Court would so damn easy if they had picked someone else and/or Kav did them a solid and bailed out. Trump is probably betting correctly that Republican supporters want the conservative Supreme Court so much that they probably don’t care who gets on the bench so long as he’s “conservative” enough. Life really doesn’t have to be this hard.
