The goal should be more about muddying the waters by presenting an alternative. The most active people in the in-group are not going to be impacted, but those on the perimeter are easier to target, especially if you can tie in other beneficial healthcare, economic, and social policies. Just seeing both options as Christian should make the decision harder for a portion of the population.

I mean, I'm as staunch of an atheist as you will find but I'd have 0 issues voting for Talarico if I was a Texan.

I was born and raised Catholic, I have every sacrament and I'm even a godfather of 2.

Christianity, if the actual new testament is what you are interested, and as presented and preached by the Catholic church under Pope Francis and Pope Leo is actually incredibly woke according to US standards.

The unfortunate truth is that Evangelicals and Megachurches have done incredible damage to USA, to me, they are a way bigger threat to democracy, prosperity, human right and peace then Islam is, mostly because they have way more levers of power in their hand but also because of how sinister in their tactics they are.

Any religion/movement that can embrace a stupid, vulgar pathological liar and adulterer (intentionally just doing the parts that are pretty much indisputable) as their savior has obviously been compromised to the point that it has nothing to do with religion.

If you need to understand this better, go and look up some of the insane shit Peter Thiel is spewing.

Emerson with their final polls for the cycle, and they go against the trend.
Collins +2 in Maine, and Husted +2 in Ohio (!!)

Will anything or anyone be able to knock Collins off? The R+2 Ohio poll is way out of left field.

That's not even the craziest part for me. Both Atlas and Emerson were basically right on the money in 2024 in a wide variety of races. But it feels like they've taken completely different lines here. Emerson's last generic ballot still had D+10, but is backing off on as strong Dem support in some of these swing states.

The one interesting poll coming out from South Carolina today was Trafalgar's 48-46 poll in favor of Graham in a +30 R environment. Do I think South Carolina is going to be a swing state? Not really. Do I think it's indicative of a potential massive blue wave if Graham only wins by 2-3 points? Yeah. It goes against the Emerson polling because in what world is Maine and Ohio going to be the same as South Carolina? We'll just have to see I guess.
