It looks like Trump has yet again temporarily sabotaged a potential deal with Iran:
Iran peace talks stumble over Trump’s threats to Iran’s delegation
“The Iranian delegation has expressed its protest to the American side and is now reviewing appropriate response to Donald Trump’s recent verbal threats,” Iranian officials said through Iran’s semiofficial Tasnim news agency translated to English, adding that “any form of threat is considered a serious violation of the agreement.”
It was unclear which of Trump’s statements they were referring to, however earlier Sunday Trump posted on Truth Social that “we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!” unless it stops “their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon,” referring to Hezbollah.
And in a phone interview Sunday morning with Fox News, Trump said he spoke with the Iranians overnight, delivering a stark warning that if Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. will “blow the s--- out of them.”
“You close it and you won’t have a country,” Fox News’ Trey Yingst reported the president’s telling him Sunday morning. “You won’t even make it back to your f------ country.”
Told during the phone call that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Iran will maintain its right to enrich uranium, Yingst said, Trump responded that “he better watch his mouth” and “he better shape up or we’ll take over the rest of the country.”
Trump described the U.S.-Iran memorandum of understanding as “just an option,” saying, “I can do whatever I want after that option.” https://www.nbcnews.com/world/iran/president-jd-vance-switzerland-iran-talks-trump-threatens-toll-rcna351033
Who would have thought that Donald Trump is a loose cannon and that other countries and world leaders don't like being treated like garbage!?
|
Trump really doesn't understand that once you make a threat and fail to make good on it, its doesn't work anymore. He has threatened Iran with complete destruction and failed so many times its barely noteworthy anymore.

You linked the Snopes article debunking the "Trump bragged about walking into the changing room of underage beauty pageants" claim. Trump never bragged about it. You can literally just edit your post to stop linking a claim that's contradicted specifically in the link. We're only here because you've thus far refused to do it.
The goalposts are still that you've made a claim that you haven't personally refuted, and I don't begrudge other people moving the conversation about other aspects of the article. You can address the original goalposts any time you choose!

It’s all right there and easy to see, and while folks might rush to some of the premises underlying that notion, the same can be said for virtually every central body of believers in a popular idea.
Telling anti trumpers to be more careful with their criticisms is silly relative to pretty much every mobilized political idea in the US. I agree with you that "mobilized political ideas" weave in lies pretty regularly for political benefit, and I want to stress that this is a partisan-agnostic. Yes, people of any political affiliation can and do lie and spread misinformation, but this comes off as an equal-offender / all-sides-are-just-as-guilty statement, when in reality the frequency and severity of lies and misinformation are incredibly lopsided towards Republicans. It's not even close. It's like saying that climbing Mount Everest and climbing a flight of stairs are comparable because they're both increases in elevation. I fail to see how correcting misinformation that *helps my own side if everybody believed it* is unsayable because some portion of the audience is set off by anything that sounds like both-sides-ism. That's a license for lying. It might explain how these lies propagate, by making people too scared of being accused of both-sides-ism or Trump apologia for the crime of pointing it out. You're kind of proving that correcting misinformation on the left isn't worth it, because LightSpectra will double and triple down, Kwark will demand you jump in on denying Epstein's crimes, and DarkPlasmaBall will say even the exercise of examining the evidence reeks of both-sides-ism. I think the left on this country, and the center left, is aided by allowing an orderly process of knowing what's fact and what's presumption. I am a little disgusted that there's this auto-immune disease where you can't help but attack your own side. To point your guns inside the circle in a witch-hunt for Trumpers. But obviously I'm not surprised. The left has this mania of purity-testing and it extends so far that we would rather an apocalypse than allow one person think a bunch of teenage girls would gossip endlessly about how Trump walked in on a portion of them changing.
|
So your argument is "teenage girls would have gossiped about it, they clearly didn't since 11 of them don't recall the event, therefor the 5 that claim he did it are lying." ?

I'm honestly wondering why Trump hasn't just asked the people around him if he can just nuke whoever he doesn't like I just Googled "has trump ever asked about using nukes" and apparently he's inquired multiple times about why he can't just launch nuclear weapons to solve his problems.

Kwark you went in unhinged mode, not only dhyb never said that, but probably no one ever (well, till you said it).

It‘s not demeaning, it‘s what their lawyer would probably reccommend outside of a class action lawsuit where they get to keep their anonymity.

I have a feeling including the conflict in Lebanon in the MOU, or rather Hezbollah vs Israel was a mistake. Well, the whole thing was a mistake but this was a mistake too. Hezbollah and Israel will just keep stun-locking US in their negotiations with Iran.
