Kirk was the youthful face of the 24' Trump election victory, apparently instrumental in deals with influencers and TikTok ads were based on his input. his own operation(s) and efforts notwithstanding.
that alone makes him both hated and loved in a time this polarized, and a potential target as sad as that sounds. the problem is, it is also polarization he helped foster and create... he rose to the top very much like Trump on this wave.
that certain right wing influence and outrage peddlers are calling for civil war when we know NOTHING AT ALL about the shooter is absolutely crazy and deplorable. also not that they would even know what shame is, but shame and a pox on those R politicians fanning the flames instead of defusing.
Did everyone really know so much about this guy? I try to keep up to date about American politics and I didn't even know his name and had only a vague understanding of what he did. Kids the same age as mine so that is pretty sad.
Now he is all over the news in Sweden and you are going to have a civil war over this?
FYI you have to many guns for a 300mn population. People get shot over nuggets in the drivethrough. Gun violence is a feature and not a bug at this point. I don't think you can start a civil war over this shit or you are going to have a full schedule going forward.

The US right has been talking about a civil war ever since a black man became President.
This killing is not a reason to have a civil war, its a convenient excuse.
You sure did express how much you liked things Trump has been doing many times since I started paying attention to this thread.
But, in your insane fascist bootlicking mind, what you wrote just means you don't like the left side of the spectrum and the political environment there, and they should be stepped on. That's why you cheered on national guard and army deployments in LA.
Of course, in the aftermath of the last political assassination you were out in force defending the Utah senator making jokes about it, but are all over this thread now to condemn the left's reaction:
Look at this peice of shit. Sitting senator for the state of Utah. Bet you won't see any condemnation on the right on this guy, probably going to make money for his reelection campaign if anyone takes issue with him joking about a wonderful woman and her husband being assassinated. Just a pattern of behavior from the people who made jokes about Nancy Pelosi's husband when he was attacked with a hammer in their home.
She was a sunday school teacher a girl scout troop leader and she raised therapy golden retrievers for veterans. the one they were raising at the time was also killed defending them. The other family that was targeted by the pictured man had their daughter in the house and the wife threw herself on her daughter to shield her. They're not guaranteed to live and are going through surgeries for their 8 and 9 bullets they took from the guy. These are the people whos feelings blackjack wants to defend from being called nazies.
I actually prefer to live in a country that laughs people who dress up as cops and wear Michael Meyers masks out of society all the way to the electric chair. Rather than one that fears them, which is what they want, if they want anything coherent at all. This way, the next time anyone ever sees a single cop-looking person outside their window in a Michael Meyers mask at 2am through their peephole or ring camera, that person will be second amended into the next life.
The mention of Walz is political - whether a big deal, or not, he did appoint the guy, and he has slightly related gaffes like being "friends with school shooters" and letting people riot in 2020. It's not a unifying joke any more than Nightmare on Maga Street would be, referencing if the guy voted for Trump. But in neither case is it a joke in any way supporting going to representatives' houses and shooting them.

An apparent politcal assassination and another attempted happen, and that's your takeaway. You need to detox from technology.
There are a nonzero amount of people here who hope for, and a lesser but nonzero amount who advocate for blowing up and shooting people they don't like. The way I read BlackJack's comment is with her voting record on that day, change the letter in front of her name and she'd be another deserving part of the fascist blob by those people's fickle reckoning. That's hard to look in and admit though.
Of course, you also called out KwarK for quoting you for "miss quoting you" despite him using your exact words from yesterday and then when quoted completely ignored that, so it might be too much to ask consistency from you.
Honestly... I don't feel even a little sad about Kirk's murder. He was a morally grandstanding rage baiter who accrued a net worth of 12 million dollars by "DESTROYING" dumb college kids publicly. He was also intellectually dishonest. His entire life's thesis supposedly revolved around his faith in scripture and the basic protestant brand of Christianity, but when confronted with the simple reality that, in fact, the King James bible is necessarily a linguistically ambiguous translation through the British lens of the original language the bible was written in - which would by his own definition be the most technically holy type of scripture, and therefore not as a reliable source of what is right and good as he maintained.. he just ignored the point, pressed forward with his views, and never took that fundamental problem with his conceptual framework seriously - nor would he ever.
I have a problem with people who claim to be fighters for truth who refuse to look at their own beliefs critically when confronted with evidence contrary to what makes them rich and powerful. That, to my mind, is fundamentally evil.
Also... And this is more of a petty point - but still completely fair: He was a staunch advocate from the right to bear arms. So, this way of getting killed was pretty poetically satisfying.
If freedom of speech is truly at issue here - I'll maintain the right to express that I think whoever killed Charlie did humanity a big favor.
After seeing so many arguments where its just 2 people not citing anything, I put together this list so people can just directly prove he was terrible rather than needing to go back and forth.
“If I see a Black pilot, I’m gonna be like ‘boy, I hope he is qualified,’”In the same discussion, he admitted he “wouldn’t want a Black, lesbian surgeon” either
He singled out figures like Joy Reid, Michelle Obama, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee as “affirmative action picks” and leveled an insult at Black women in general: “You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously… You had to steal a white person’s slot.”
“Throbbing Middle Finger to God” – In a September 2023 church speech, Charlie Kirk railed against transgender people as “so against the natural law – and dare I say, a throbbing middle finger to God.” Citing Deuteronomy 22:5, he directly addressed transgender swimmer Lia Thomas: “You hear that … Thomas? You’re an abomination to God!”
Charlie Kirk warns "the transgender movement is an introductory phase to get you to strip yourself of your humanity to mesh with machines," adding "if you stop being a man, then maybe you can stop being a human being"
“The evil perpetrated on young people by the trans medical industry is something future generations will look upon with horror,” labeling the movement a “trans delusion death cult.”

Ok sure, but have you considered that Biden started all of this? And who was it that forced Charlie to be a such an extremely random moderate? Perhaps it's time for ya'll to read a few right-of-center publications to escape your left-wing echo chamber here. I say if we let Trump break every conceivable law, he'll eventually tone down the criminality.

I would say that he falls into the category of a known republican influencer whose insane comments come up from time to time. These individuals are easily capable of becoming nationally important politicians if they were to start running. They can also be influential otherwise in the party. For example, Lee Atwater, who helped develop many of the political strategies used today, focused on campuses during political campaigns in his 20s. So, watching what these guys are doing is important, and their views could easily become party line even in a couple of years.

I don't believe categorizing rioters, criminals, and illegal aliens as "the left side of the spectrum" is fair to the left side of the spectrum. Or to the extent they are, that'd be a serious problem, no?

One of my only beautiful posts, whose nuance was completely wasted, it appears. You should make fun of murderers. You should not fear them.
If they find the guy who shot Charlie Kirk and it turns out to be a crazed leftist Woodstock boomer who's incontinent, Senator Mike Lee should make a fake movie poster titled "American Diaper." If it turns out to be a blue haired college SJW, he should do the same but photoshop them in prison with the title "Orange Is The New Rainbow" If it turns out to be a Mossad agent from a false flag, he should do the same but call it "Kirk Your Enthusiasm." If it's some William F Buckley conservative angry about something I'm too lazy to figure out why he'd be angry now, they could photoshop and call it "Firing Whine." If he was wearing a Ben Shapiro mask they should call it "In The Line Of Daily Wire." Not because it's making fun of the act of murder, or the victims.
Of course, there are levels of taste and interpretation always. A different example, one of the unfortunately good opportunities from a comedic perspective is "He lost the gun debate." Maybe even repeated here. The problem with that is in many cases we know someone is saying it from a black heart, because they wanted him to die or are now happy he is dead, and are essentially spitting on his warm grave.
Letting violence dictate what you think or say is a way of ceding victory to the perpetrators of it. This is also why to ignore the likes of Andrew Tate or Ian Miles Cheong, who either have no stake in America or can't be considered an upstanding civilized part of it, when they post advocating chaotic nonsense that doesn't affect them.

That was not KwarK. KwarK was about quoting something else.
Are you interested in that because of the words in question or because you want to talk about me? I had already put a disclaimer in the original post predicting and clarifying what was probably going on. The found quote matched with what I already thought might be going on. Charlie Kirk was not a centrist. He was right-wing. We all know. But he was not an extremist. I've made it clear now he wasn't in the political center and anything implying otherwise was in error so we can turn off the aneurysm machine about that and no need to bring it up again in 3 months randomly too. Try to just please find a new reason to call me a fascist bootlicker each time otherwise it gets boring.

I don't know about September 8th specifically, but Kirk has called for the Epstein files to be released in the past (especially in July), though he later changed his stance:

I just realized if you read all of these in a Hitler-yelling-at-the-top-of-his-lungs voice, you could quickly be convinced Hitler actually said all of those things and not Charlie. It fits perfectly.

It's that list (and his Wiki page and more) that make this Onion satirical article so spot-on:
Turning Point USA Condemns UNLV Student For Filming Racist Video In Portrait Mode
Swiftly responding to a leaked video they called “incongruent with their core values,” conservative activist group Turning Point USA issued a statement Friday condemning a University Of Nevada, Las Vegas chapter student for filming a racist viral video in portrait mode.
“With hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding from GOP mega-donors, there is absolutely no excuse for one of our members to be filmed shouting ‘White power!’ in a shaky cellphone video when there is plenty of professional recording equipment available for use,” said Executive Director Charlie Kirk, who denounced the student’s choice to capture the racist tirade in portrait mode rather than landscape mode, failing to meet the high standards Turning Point USA holds for all members’ distributed hate speech.
“In no way do the abhorrent production values expressed in this racist video represent what our organization stands for. When we produce white supremacist content, we do so in high definition to provide viewers with a crystal-clear, 4K image of our white skin. We hope this serves as a reminder to all of our members that if you’re going to call for the decimation of the black race, use a high-quality microphone so that we can hear you yell the N-word clearly.” Kirk also expressed disappointment that the member shared a racist video without including the official Turning Point USA watermark.

This kind of messaging is likely to become more popular after Luigi, but it is also something that can be easily fabricated, and I would not put it past this administration to do so. Especially if they are overly generic and no manifestos are found, or the suspect dies.
