Na, Americans now get to deal with the accelerated rise in right wing domestic terrorism now that these loonies have a perceived legitimate grievance against an illegitimate government. At least Biden can refocus the FBI to combat such efforts after the Trump admin tried their best to ignore and downplay them.

That's not actually good. The FBI or CIA don't care about right wing terrorists and will forget about any mandate the second it becomes convenient to focus all their newly acquired powers on left wing opposition. I guess the only issue with that logic is that they're already so powerful and temporarily directing them towards the right might be good in the short term, but I don't know, that seems myopic.
I think a better immediate result could be that the Dems might sanction GOP insurrectionists in Congress who provoked this attack, but that would require them to actually do something so maybe it won't happen.

Conviction and stimulus can be done at the same time. Neither can start before the 20th in the Senate.
They are totally different committees on the Senate and house. Conviction is probably easier to get buy in from Republicans than the stimulus.

A few of them would be, but it is a remarkably small number : Murkowski, Romney. I don't treat any of the others seriously when they say they'll buck the party line.
The 2k check, if done asap, might pass. But it is much more likely that people will push for a much larger stimulus package than just 2k checks, since it would be equally difficult to pass.

The Senate is in recess and can only take action by unanimous consent.
Which isn't going to exist for impeachment.
Therefor there will be no impeachment vote before the inauguration.
