Also what would be fake about him talking to a camera for 18 seconds. He walked to the helicopter on live TV looking ok. I don't know. It's a very serious election, holding back on ads seems naive. Polls may look good but lets remember 2016 and 'the win % needle' greatly favoring Hillary. No reason to attack him being sick or anything but they should definitely still point out all the shitty things he's done in office. Other people will do that for them. Every day there's a new leak or story about something shitty Trump or his fellows have done. Part of Hillary's issue was relying too heavily on negative ads, which gave the perception that she was running on "I'm not Trump and I also have no policies".

It's not something they are doing to be nice and increase Trump's chances at election, it's reading the situation that too negative attack ads while the guy is infected with covid goes against the message of 'restoring decency to america'. I mean, whether it's a smart choice or not can be up for debate, but my opinion, I'm thinking good choice.

That he's *going to* Walter Reed? Future tense? He was already being flown there at least *two* hours ago (or was it last night?), which makes me a little suspicious, tbh. It's probably a fake background and/or was probably made several hours ago, but only posted now to keep up the illusion that he's doing just fine right this second.

It is looking increasingly possible that Saturday’s White House ceremony in which president Donald Trump named his nominee for the vacancy on the Supreme Court may have been a coronavirus superspreader event. Video emerged on Friday of Republican Senator Mike Lee of Utah, who has since tested positive for the virus, enthusiastically hugging other attendees. He is also seen holding his mask in his hand. Almost no one is seen wearing a mask at the Rose Garden announcement that Judge Amy Coney Barrett is nominated to the court. Judge Barrett’s colleague, the president of Notre Dame Reverend John Jenkins has also tested positive. In an email to students, faculty, and staff, he wrote: “I regret my error of judgment in not wearing a mask during the ceremony and by shaking hands with a number of people in the Rose Garden.” A Trump administration press staffer and a journalist have also tested positive, but are unidentified at present. Source Of all the circumstances under which we could see a big uptick in high-profile cases, that one seems to be one of the most sensible. Lines up quite well with the timeline from presymptomatic to positive test result and actively ill.

https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/519360-pence-subbed-in-for-trump-on-call-with-governors-after-presidents I don't mean to imply that he's in critical condition, only that he's probably a little worse off than he appeared to the public. EDIT: It has been reported Trump is having difficulty breathing https://mobile.twitter.com/KyleKulinski/status/1312183885879341056

That’s basically Boris Johnson in a nutshell. This hits the cardiovascular. Boris was OK self isolating at home and in good spirits until he suddenly wasn’t, went to the hospital as a precaution and was forced into the ICU for 3 days. He still looks like shit months later. As an aside, looks like the whole Whitehouse is a super spreader event. Total unsurprising because these are the type of people to mock Biden for social distancing and wearing the biggest mask in the world but here we are.

There's still time for Mike Lee and Thom Tillis to get better and out of quarantine, but if more Senators get covid later in the month it might make it hard to get the 50 votes necessary. Given the moronic setup of the senate (requiring in person voting and regular close contact among the most at-risk population), I'd say it's basically impossible that ACB can be confirmed before the election.

It’s amazing it took this long for a super spreader event to occur to be honest. There’s some cosmic amusement that the Supreme Court nomination event at the Rose Garden seems to be the likely event where all of these people are getting sick from. If Claudia Conway is a valid enough source, her mother Kelly Ann Conway has also caught the ‘rona with again the timing matching up with the Rose Garden event. It’s really nice that our government intentionally created a super spreader event because no one had the brains to take precautions despite over 200,000 dying from the virus.

The high profile people finally caught it but what about all those people crowded together maskless at his rallies. Makes my blood boil how he encouraged that.

There's something REALLY off about the video that I can't put my finger on. I think if I were to list them: 1. No windows or anything else to tell time of day 2. Super weird outline of Trump - is it green screened? Look at his shoulder/arms - this looks like someone did a (better version of) Zoom automatic background 3. Does his tie look weird? I'm trying to see the room reflected in it but it's hard 4. As DPB mentioned, he's "going" to Walter Reed when he'd already gone hours before? 5. Does the lighting seem weird? One from above his right shoulder when it looks like he's in a room with paired sconces?
