Its just a giant hyper capitalist, ultramaterialistic society for the vast majority of the people there, it also just happens to have a silly tyrant who bans dumb phrases and words because hes silly. As proof, when I was living in China, I would talk to people and say things that were Pro Hong Kong when Blizzard did its stupid, also other dumb stuff related to Xi's tiny lil trantrums, but I'm not in jail or anything. | ||

China and the US are more alike then we'd like to admit, Chinas got a LOT going for it over the US in some ways (being able to quickly see healthcare professionals for a low cost was a nice perk when I was there) and a lot of shitty shit they do. I'm just kind of of the opinion that the US and China both suck, and that people should shut the fuck up about other regimes when talking about a country's systems. Socialism in Venezuela or Germany in the '40s (lol) is stupid when youre talking about the US. People in the US want something akin to the nordic countries (or they want to die in the gutter of disease based on how they vote, but those of us who want M4A and stuff picture nordic countries typically) and trying to lump our views in with shit like people who glorify Stalin is pretty gross and insulting and it happens a lot, so we can definitely be a little defensive about it. That and the fact that America seems incredibly resistant to actually making progressive change in almost any capacity on so many levels, it really winds up being demoralizing on its own without other people dogpiling. But yeah, I'll freely acknowledge that China's government is awful and shitty, but they're competent shitty, they're the kind of shitty you get when the people in charge are capable of directing their government to do stuff and the government actually is able to do stuff. Its kind of sad, because China would be capable of greater things if their government was better. Compared to the US which is capable of basically nothing because our government is so awful and shitty, but incompetent shitty. So in conclusion, fuck the Chinese government, and fuck the US government, we should all wish for better and more importantly DO better. Maybe in one hundred years. Also, eat the rich. | ||
